Off again off again, jiggedy jig...

Jumping off day...we are on the road for three months, as of this Friday morning. First to Vancouver, then cross into the US on the 7th...health insurance kicks in that date. Due back in Canada 7th of April.Plan is to drive to Seattle for a couple days, weather dependent, and then over to 101 and stay on that till the 1 in California...and along on to San Fransisco and onwards to San Diego. We'll see. Last year we swung east before we could get to San Diego..went off to Anza Borreggo and then the desert. Slabs, Death Valley and all about. We almost x2 our away time, from last years 7 weeks, and am hoping to spend some time in the Mojave too.

A rather unhappy discovery...we were in San Fransisco the past 20 hours, Tuesday night thru to Wednesday afternoon...and the uptick..no, upsurge, in crimae involving theft from auots is just so bad...SO BAD. Signs posted everywhere..Do Not Leave Any Valuables In Your Vehicle Due to Smash and Grabs Thefts. And there is glass to be seen almost anywhere you look.

We just did not feel good about leaving the RV unattended, so...left.

Counting on it...I have a bud that claims to know the area, well. Off-Pavement is bringing his towed Jeep and is promising great things. And then we are going to meet up in Death Valley after a visit to the Slabs.

Have a great time in the search for rocks, eh....

It came with the boat rack, but I have never used it. I carry a 17ft folding kayak inside up forward, if I am water bound.

Is that a boat rack that I still see up on top?

If so, when is there going to be a boat tied down up there just before you unload it at some remote lake where only a 6X6 Class C go?

(Just giving you a hard time, but really ... a great rig like you have shouldn't find itself anywhere near a city.)

P.S. We're about to head out for AZ to do some exploring and rock hunting.

LOL! It's more watch your rig. They have a huge problem with smash and grabs on vehicles (we found out the hard way) and we were in a well-lit public parking lot.
