We will be camping next week for thanksgiving, and probably again for New Years. before we put our trailer away until March. The pink stuff only goes in the drains here so we're ready to go almost anytime.

====================================
I got the camper winterized.
It was the heat of the day... Temps climbed to 32 degrees.
I blew out the lines, drained the low points.
The Black and Grey Water tanks were already empty.
I put about a gallon of Pink Stuff divided into those tanks.
I put Pink Stuff in the Lines, Traps and Toilet.

I'm probably thru camping this year.
Tomorrow I go back to my Orthopedic Dr. to see if they are
going to do a Knee Replacement on my Left leg.
That would keep me sidelined until Spring.

I got the news from my Ortho Dr. today.
Possibly Next Wednesday they are gonna take the pins and screws out of my left leg. These pins and screws have been in that leg since 1978... They will
Let it heal for 3 months, then do Robotic Surgery on the knee.
Maybe April before I get a new knee.
I hope to go camping again maybe late summer, or early Fall.
Guess I'll have time to catch up on my reading till then.
On the plus side my Vintage Camper has been modernized and restored, so It's ready when I am.

BTW: Fall and Winter are great times to camp in the Deep South.
Campgrounds aren't too crowded, except on the Gulf Coast...

Don't forget to bypass the water heater or you will be using more than that

Funny you should mention this. I had 5 gallons of RV pink stuff, in 2 - two 1/2 gallon containers. I anticipated using only 1 of those containers. This is the second winter I've winterized the 5er. I drained the water heater, left the plug out, and got everything ready to pump the pink.

Well, after almost the entire 2.5 gallons pumped out of the container, and I still had no pink stuff at any of the faucets, I was a bit bewildered.

I finally walked around to the other side of the camper, on a thought, to check the water heater, and there it was, running the pink stuff out the drain plug hole on the ground... OH DUH!

I went back around and looked at all those valve switches and realized I did not have the water heater in bypass. Another OH DUH! Well, it has been a year you know since the first time I did this.

So yea, it is possible to use more than a couple gallons if the water heater is not in bypass. (lesson learned). OH DUH! (I'm glad I had the 5 gallons).

3 gallons? Seems like a lot. Not expensive though.

I guess by now you should know how to do it. I use about 3 gallons of the pink stuff and it takes about 30 minutes. If any is left over I dump it into the Black Tank.
