For the last 2 years I and others were recommending taking what is known as the bus route. I am no longer recommending that route. Even some of the buses are staying on 15 . I have not tried that yet but I have been told that the US has opened up the Jersey barriers so you can change lanes at the border. If you happen to hit that bus route on a day when there are lots of Mexicans ( long weekend , big sales in Tucson) the traffic is crazy. We were pushed over and did damage to our motorhome.
