Click on the link, the Las Vegas NPS is hiring Graffiti Removal Specialist or rather is looking for volunteers to train into that position. The parks there are apparently overwhelmed with paint. But it is LV of course.

I think the OP is saying, this is revolting because there now needs to be a dedicated team of people to clean up graffiti, that there is so much graffiti there are teams of people needed to restore "things" back to what they use to be. Revolting that so much damage is being done. Revolting that ignorant people think it's cute or funny or get a thrill defacing public property.

The job description sounds too demanding for a 64 year old with artificial knees though. If I were 40 years young ... well ... sounds like an interesting experience. I get angry picking up cigarette butts from around the campsite I'm on. I'd probably go ballistic looking at a rock formation in a National Park with spray paint all over it!

Yes, there is a difference. The folks on the Oregon trail bet their lives that they would survive the dangerous trip and deserved to leave their names. Today's graffiti artists are punks, have done nothing to earn the right to leave their name and should be thrown in jail.

I agree. It's sad that they have to expend resources for something like this when infrastructure is in dire need.
I certainly understand it though.

Our town has a graffiti patrol. Your taxes at work, trying to keep up with the punks.
