slide would not retract

Well it happened. On our last vacation and the last morning the slide would not retract. The motor ran and there was a grinding noise but the slide didn't move.
One of the campground workers determined that the gearbox had broken but we were able to crank the slide in using pipe wrenches on the pinion shaft.
Now the challenge is to get a replacement gearbox for our 2003 Sunnybrook travel trailer. But I have until next April.
As a famous politician is wont to say `we'll see what happens'.

That was my thought too, my Titanium ate sheer pins. Easy and cheap fix. Otherwise start checking RV Salvage yards online.
