I don't beleive you could get a 3.42 in a gasser 3/4 ton. That would make it largely worthless as a heavy duty truck unless strictly for hauling 3-4 or a ton in the truck bed.
It wouldn't pull a ..........nevermind, my dads old saying for this isn't family friendly!

I am gonna telling having pulled my trailer with a 6.4 and 6.0. I am taking the 6.0 everyday. The gearing ruins the 6.4 and 6.0 pulls away coming up Vantage. That is 6 speed 6.4 vs a 6 speed 6.0 Towing 7800lbs and 32 feet.

^ Yes โworthlessโ was perhaps too egregious of a descriptor and was certainly not a personal affront on you or your vehicle. Apologies there.
Geography does play a large role in what works well and what doesnโt for sure. Even here in WA which does not have real high altitude and for the most part โmildโ grades on mountain highways, the new (and older) 6.0s seem to s uck more wind than comparable gassers from the competition.
That said, they are generally very reliable trucks.

I just checked the 4.10 when asked about rear end and it said only available with gas. But I was building a 3500. Donโt know if that made a difference.
I was able to find my build on a lot 3500HD Diesel Denali 2020.

Well letโs see what this truck does compared to others on the IKE. It had zero problems beating the competition with the 6.0 in previous test on TFL. Iโm thinking they still will go with a 8 or 10 speed soon. Perhaps it was not ready just yet for the 2020 model, who knows. Anyway if this engine combo pushes people to purchase a diesel then who cares. Itโs your money, not mine, as long as whatever truck you buy if it works for u then great.
It's probably do to trying to keep costs down. In the HD segment I believe GM dominates the gas market.
