The fuel economy and towing ability of that baby diesel would be awesome - if they could be made reliable.

My 2002 5.9L Cummins was a towing beast in the day, and it was only 235hp/460tq before mods. Amazing to think a 3.0L V6 has more power and tq now in a 1/2 ton.

An ok piece by tfl. I wish they were more gear head truck guys. 98 Glad you like the truck. fwiw itโ€™s amazing how much better it gets with engine & trans tunes. More power & more power to the ground (less nanny) better economy plus turbo brake, cleaner oil, less codes. Maybe you already have them just sharing. You probably have 2 or 3 years of warranty left and it will be year from when the 2020s hit the steer before well at least before GDE has a tune fully tested & ready for it.
Transportr TT & boats RAM EconoDiesel Factory TBC, Tow mirrors, Hitch camera, Axle to frame air bags, Tune w turbo brake, Max tow 9,200 CGAR 7,800 CVWR 15,950 axle weights 3,340 steer 2,260 drive Truck pushed head gasket at 371k has original trans at 500k

I love my 2017, I'm getting about 30 miles a gallon empty and 14 towing my 7000 lb trailer! It will run circles around any Chevy I have ever towed with! It is even quieter than my 2014silverado gas was. I'll have to drive the 2020 when they get to my dealer, can't wait
