Where would you snowbird at? I'm talking which resort, which state? I'm talking about the best of the best..and how long?

IBE has other parks in and around Bonita Springs, FL, beat by a mile! 80+ activities, but no softball. Go to Citrus Park for that. 5 miles from the beach. 10 miles north of Naples. Plan ahead as they have a waiting list every year. If you want vacancies, Citrus Park is still there. The Imperial River is our southern border, and takes you right to Estero Bay and the ocean -- a great trip. The famous Flamingo Flea Market is our eastern next-door neighbor. Around the corner is Al Capone's winter home, if you're into history. 1.7 miles to downtown, historic Bonita Springs!

You better be careful with that one.
A few years ago a good friend of mine bought two adjacent islands that are off the Florida Keys. If you have ever gone over the seven mile bridge you would see them in the Atlantic on the left hand side.
One of them was two tiny to even camp on, but he had big plans for the larger one and was going to make it a paddle in remote camping place.
Along came Hurricane Irma and split the larger one in half and now he is the owner of three tiny useless islands!

It really depends on what you like to do. Florida Keys (Bluewater Key Resort) is amazing if you are a water person, but it's a long trip to major cities and some people get "Island Fever". Moving inland, I agree that the Naples area is great, and there are a couple of great resorts there. If you don't need the ocean, Palm Springs area of California has the absolute best weather, best golfing and best resorts anywhere (Outdoor Resorts Indio and Motorcoach Country Club are two great ones, there are others). That area offers fantastic access to Casinos, shopping and entertainment, but it is in the desert and is a LONG way from Delaware. As for time, I bird from November thru March, but adding a month at either end wouldn't put you into bad (hot in California Desert, stiffling heat and humidity Florida) weather.

We spend the winter at Val Vista Villages (Fiesta section) in Mesa, AZ. Not the largest in Mesa, but pretty good size with EVERY possible amenities you could want. We love the Phoenix area in the winter, mild weather, good restaurants/arts centers/spring training all within an easy drive plus 15 minutes and we can be out hiking in the Superstition Mountains.

If I was going to spend the winter in an RV (we finally bought a condo) - I would stay at Lake Whippoorwill/Kissimmee KOA. It's a beautiful place (gorgeous landscaping!) on a nice inland lake with a boat ramp - and has the most amazing dog park I've ever seen (hey - the pups need to have fun too!). And it's close to everything, while still feeling peaceful and "out in the country".

For folks who want a lot of social activity - Citrus Park near Bonita Springs, FL offers nice sites and TONS of activities!

Probably Naples FL but I don't know if a campground even exists in that $$ area.
