Years ago I ran a generator a few hours in Yosemite.... At that point I started looking at solar.
The generator droning on really does diminish the Yosemite experience. Otherwise yes the hours are posted above.

1. Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
2. Someone is sensitive about people running generators
3. Someone feels they're 'entitled'...but, they are everywhere.
4. I'm not trying to start any flame wars. /:B...Dennis

Thanks to BarabooBob. Yosemite is a spectacular place, especially if you go in the off season. They have a lot of rules but it is worth it.

Well SkiPro3, if I was camping next to you and you ran your generator outside of the generator allowed hours, you would be talking to the Ranger. As the web site states-Generator use is allowed, but only between 7 am and 9 am, noon and 2 pm, and 5 pm to 7 pm. Generator use is not allowed at other times.

Your post could be read to make someone believe that you are exempt from following the rules. If I misread that I am sorry. Maybe they didn't like your gen during the allowed hours.

I am not trying to start any flame wars.

We've used ours, a Honda inverter that is very quiet. Even then, our neighbors in a tent gave us the stink-eye any time we ran it.
Tough!

The park web site states that generators can be used but only during specified hours.
