Buckeye Lake KOA has an opening for a skilled maintenance lead.
The position is full-time. year round. Housing may, or may not, be included based on the needs of the team member.

POSITION SUMMARY
โ€ข The Maintenance/Safety Team is responsible for ensuring that everything on-site works like a well-oiled machine โ€“ including the utilities we provide to our guests, the equipment and resources our team relies on to service our guests, and the appearance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds. We are the behind-the-scenes-ninjas who make sure that our property is safe for our guests to enjoy and always appears in like-new condition โ€“ no matter how dirty we must get to make that happen.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
โ€ข Working with the Community Manager, determine and manage the key priorities of the Maintenance/Safety Team on a daily, weekly and seasonal basis.
โ€ข Ensure the Maintenance/Safety Team has the tools, training and resources needed to safely and accurately accomplish their work on time and on budget.
โ€ข Oversee the training of each Maintenance/Safety Team member to ensure compliance with federal, local, and campground determined regulations; this includes the daily upkeep of the pool, dump station, and the use of all tools and equipment.
โ€ข Clearly communicate daily responsibilities to each Safety/Maintenance Team member.
โ€ข Track the progress of required maintenance item in the Maintenance Log on a daily basis.
โ€ข Lead all major campground renovation projects identified by Ownership; this includes overseeing the project schedule, cost estimates, labor, and the accomplishment of each project on time and on budget.
โ€ข Identify and propose any maintenance/safety related improvements needed throughout the campground. Proactively provide the Community Manager and Ownership with recommendations on ways to create a safer environment for team members and guests.
โ€ข Create and maintain a replacement schedule for all campground furniture, fixtures and equipment.
โ€ข Perform basic carpentry, electrical/plumbing repairs, painting, staining, power washing, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager.
โ€ข Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by and alongside the Community Manager, including the pool/spa, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping, game room, laundry servicing and various other campground equipment upkeep.
โ€ข Ensure all guests and team members are at all times provided with a safe environment.
โ€ข Comply with all KOA, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff and campground customers.
โ€ข Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to guests' needs. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the Community Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation
โ€ข Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling, and usage
โ€ข Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing
โ€ข Valid Driverโ€™s License
โ€ข Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
โ€ข Capable of working independently and as part of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
โ€ข Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
โ€ข Long periods of standing
โ€ข Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climb
โ€ข Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment
โ€ข Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
โ€ข Able to travel by auto
โ€ข Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates
โ€ข Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain
