CARiD and which tires for my 19.5” wheels

I’m going to upgrade my wheels & tires on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW truck as I’m moving to a larger truck camper. Want the extra load capacity.

I’ve decided on the Vision 81 wheels in black matte, but can’t decide on tires. I’m thinking of Toyo M-920, Goodyear G622, or Roadmaster 253 Regional Drive. Either choice would be 245/70R-19.5. Any opinions? Definitely need all season with my mixed bag of Northwest weather.

Also, has anyone ordered from CARiD? They have wheel/tire packages that come mounted, balanced, and ready to go at really good prices. Free shipping too.

Any comments, suggestions, or opinions welcomed!

I have the Roadmaster 253s. I would buy something else the next time. Traction is great, they ride fine for a 19.5. But the wander, OMG! The first 2000 miles was horrible, after 10000 they are better, but nowhere near comfortable to drive.

I've purchased from them twice. I had problems with both orders and had a difficult time getting them resolved. I won't deal with them again.

threeaces, We went with Hankook DH07’s. They “sing” a little at highway speeds, but certainly not unbearable! Also, if you haven’t already been told.....they will be a little nervous for the first thousand or so miles! That was the bad....discounting that, we love them. They are very stable when towing our 5er, at over 4K pound pin-weight, and have far superior traction (mud, snow, ice) the the original Michelin’s. We generally run 70 psi when “not” towing....bump the rears to 100 psi when towing!

We’re using Rickson Wheels......powder coated steel with 4500 # rating.

I failed to mention.....Rickson wheels have the proper offset for specific brand trucks, which positioneds the wheel same as stock!

I'd go with the M920's. They tolerate 75+ MPH, the Goodyears don't. The m920's are rated for 87 MPH. Roadmaster is also limited to 75 MPH, and doesn't not have a good tread pattern for a light truck IMO.

Honestly, I'd just go to less Schwab for both. You'll need the Road-Force balanced, and Les Schwab installs that tire more than anybody else, and probably more than all other dealers combined. I suspect the same goes for the 19.5" vision wheels. If your local branch is less than stellar, there's better ones not far away.

What you save buying a package online, you'll make up for the first time you throw a weight, and have to pay somebody else to balance them.

A few guys on the Ford FTE forums have put Toyo M920's on their trucks and seem happy with them. Apparently a pretty decent winter tire in the 19.5 size.

When choosing the 245’s, get the PR16 LRH version. The Vision rims are rated for 4500 lbs each so why not have that capacity available?

I bought my wheels from them. I wont deal with them again. The wheels on my 3500 have a kind of fake bead lock look to them, my issue is it sets outside the tire, not inside the tire bead where it would be protected. I didn't like it as I am off road a lot and didn't want debris getting lodged between the wheel and the bead of the tire. They would do nothing. I was willing to buy another style from them. just take them back. Zero cooperation, as much as I hate to say it they wore me down. I just kept them. If you can find the wheel you want at a tire store and know exactly what you are getting, you likely would be fine. Just hope you don't have an issue with them, cause you will be stuck with whatever you get. That was my experience anyway.
