A large number of RVers are Veterans, I'd like to take a moment to thank each of you for your service and sacrifice. Because of veterans actions, we are free to travel, have adventures, and make memories.
THANK YOU.

You most likely saw the Emory S. Land - the Spear's sister ship. It was on the next pier between us and the carrier piers.

As a thank you to vets, wouldn't it be nice if we vets, who didn't make the military a career, got access to the same RV parks that currently are available only to active duty and retirees?

That will be happening in 2020. At least for those of us who are service connected disabled.

The price is very high. Totally Disabled!
Some Military RV Parks are actually outside the Posts and you can get in.
Rules are subject to the Base Commander.

The pending commissary, exchange and MWR's expansion will be open to any veteran with a service connected disability rated 30% or more compensated. The 100% requirement is in place now. The expansion starts 2020. In 2020, camping, lodging and resort access will be open to all that qualify regardless of location. But the cost is not the same as for traditional users, there will be a user fee attached. Veterans who qualify under the expansion will pay slightly more.

Remember, all veterans enrolled in the VA Health care system can use the onsite or online VA Canteen service exchange. I do find the canteen prices can be more than you can buy elsewhere so no big savings. And all HD Veterans can have limited access to the DOD's online exchanges.

Thank you. The Army, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times all at the same time. But oh my, what a time it was.

Thank you.
