Having re-built the interior of the RV...new colour scheme, now floors, new cushions...time to see if it still all works. Out for a month. Going wandering in Washington on #20...then maybe Whidby Island down to Port Townsend...this part is weather permitting. The Seattle...then back up to BC to see people. Over to Vancouver Island the 1st..pick up the red head in Nanaimo on the 4th..over to Tofino and west side for a week and she has to return home. I will carry one..getting home by the 20..just in time for the first of the Santa meetings.

Catch me as I roll by...it's the rather high white 4x4 C.

Thanks , I checked it out and was happy to see the pictures.

I don't know what the little Statue To Liberty was for.

It's just on Alki Beach beach in West Seattle.

I don't know what the little Statue To Liberty was for. I was also amazed at what looks like a cruse ship going out to sea ? That thing is HUGE !!!

Not for me. I think I will stick with my little camper.

As we're Anacortes residents, we go through the intersection with the main SR20 and the spur lots of times. The last time through (Tuesday last) traffic was backed up to the east side of the golf course, even for Anacortes-bound traffic. The far-right, east-bound through lane was closed. It looked like they were "putting on its party clothes", so it might finally be sorted.

It has definitely improved things for traffic to and from Whidbey Island, but not much for eastbound traffic from Anacortes, since it now is subordinate to traffic southbound to Whidbey.

Why I thought I could avoid the traffic circle(s) is beyond me. But..I survived.

Just returned to Whidbey Island two days ago from a trip over to Idaho, joined WA 20 over in Omak and had a pleasant drive; road was in fine shape. Watch for deer west of Winthrop along the Mazama stretch, especially at night. The new intersection at Sharpes Corner where WA 20 turns toward Whidbey is a great improvement over the stop lights and delays we've had for years. Slower vehicles don't hold up traffic and the two lanes add more capacity.

I was gushing on about the new interior. opf the RV. There are pix in the Do-It-Yourself Mods.

Frank...Thanks for the tip on the mess at Anacortes. I think I'll just scoot over to La Conner and over the bridge and re-connect with the Deception Pass road from there. It's all about the pix..right?

Highway 20 is a bit of a mess approaching the cut-off to Anacortes. The highway department recently replaced the traffic lights, where the "Spur" splits off from the main drag, with a big, multi-lane roundabout. It's taking some getting used to and traffic is a bit slow, particularly as there's still some "clean-up" being done. Give yourself plenty of time if that's your planned route.
