From the current NC DOT web site, https://tims.ncdot.gov/tims/

I-95 CLOSED THROUGH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
I-95 is closed in both directions between Exit 138 (US 64) and Exit 65 (NC-82) near Dunn, due to flooding and a crash.

Through traffic from I-95 in Georgia is advised to use
I-16 West to
I-75 North to
I-81 North to
I-64 East back to I-95 in Virginia.

Traffic from I-95 in Virginia is advised to use
I-64 West to
I-81 South to
I-75 South to
I-16 East back to I-95 in Georgia.

So far it looks to be open in SC but the rivers in the region have not yet peaked let alone receded so it is not clear how long the closure will run and whether there will be more extensive closures.

Im traveling from NY to Florida mid October. Most likely 95 will be open , but I wonder if flooding will affect the gas stations along I95. I think it was Matthew a few years ago that had me deatoring through Atlanta to avoid 95. Two major flood events for the same area in less than 5 years . We had Sandy , flooding is worse IMO than wind , the effects last well after the event. Prayers for those dealing.
