With 95 being closed, all of the good alternate routes are likely to be PACKED, especially when they give the all clear for people to go back home.
And Richmond took a pretty good hit of water too.
It seems that ALL of the national new media only wants to spend their time showing a news person standing in knee deep water and talking about the places that it is the worse......instead of giving out some actually useful information.....like what the general situation is around the WHOLE area and what roads are still passable.
I think I have decided not to chance it.
Charlotte next week. Hopefully things will be cleaned up enough to allow for safe travel by then.

I suspect that the recommended alternate routes might be that way now.
I have pretty much decided that it is NOT a good idea for me to try and get to Richmond for the races this weekend. That's a fair chunk of change down the drain.
