Onan 5500 - too much fuel?

I have my Onan 5500 of my 36 Fiesta shut down with code 36. I saw fuel coming from the air filter, so I took it apart, empty the bowl, put some cleaner, tried again, same thing. I disconnected the fuel pump, started right up. Reconnected while running, after a few seconds it would try to stop. Disconnected the pump, surged right up. After a few minutes it runs out of fuel, sor I reconnect the pump for a few seconds and it runs great.
Could it be the that the fuel pump is pumping too much fuel? Any help will be appreciated!

New carb took some time to get dialed in correctly. It was not an easy task, but thanks to a lot of electronic devices I was able to get it running right.
If you ever have to do this, the number one instrument you need is a device to measure the voltage frequency. That was the one that gave me the final setting to get it running.

use the model number to search for the "service manual"

that manual gives the trouble shooting and tune up info

Already checked, nothing broken, it is just me not knowing how to tune it up. Anybody knows of a guide on how to? When I search for generator tuen up all I get is how to clean it.

Sounds like the Governor/throttle springs are in the wrong position or broken

It was a carburator problem. Installed a new one, but I can't get it to run consistently. It either surges or goes over the RPM and faults (code 14). Any material on how to propperly tune it up? I had to assemble/disasemble every time I had to change the idler screw, and I had to do it like 50 times and the darn thing still doesn't want to run right...

bad float, leaking needle seat, of incorrect float level adjustment, main jet adjustment...
