No, AK is not in the cards for us in 2019. 2 weeks ago I had a total reverse shoulder replacement with all lightweight titanium parts. It was my right side so shifting the 6 speed manual, as easy as it is, is a pain.
My bro and I with the ladies are going to attempt the entire interior of canyonlands N.P. in our T.C.'s starting by going over and down Elephant Hill. Looks like March or April timeframe. someone on You tube has filmed the whole thing in his Toyota P.U. with a topper. Looks pretty gnarly. My first time on the Elephant was 1970 soon after the N.P. was designated. Oh, and our first born, Matt in the pic is now 49 years old.

RTCastillo, Welcome to the Truck Camper forum, there's a lot of good people here, ask questions you'll get good advice and some rib poking fun. Thank for following along.

jefe 4x4,Thanks for pointing out that gravel area, free camping is always the best way to go and for those who haven't been out to McCarthy/Kennecott Mills are missing out on a great sight to see. Are you ready to go back up,we're heading out July 11,2018!

Did you go this past summer? It's on the planning for Summer 2019.

Alex,
Another interesting slice of AK. This tome has proven to be, as the song says,
Endless Summer. Here we are camping in a gravel pit near that long bridge in McCarthy in June 2003:
