They should have watched the time more closely. Hope they learned a lesson.
Maybe CW should charge them with tresspassing

Think again, I lice in a town that one business I know of has an electrified fence surrounding their property. That is the place that did all the work on the CAT engine in my just traded in motor home.

My wife and I wandered around a RV lot for some time in attended, but it wasn't about closing time. We have done that more than once.

I can't imagine they were left unattended on a CW sales lot. All I ever here is how overbearing the CW sales team is:):):):) Must have been very sneaky and got away from the sales team.

So, they were escorted by a STORE employee and they wandered around for 30 minutes until they realized they were locked in, then wandered around video taping for another hour, Then decided to call police to get out at which time Mom was "having a panic attack" as she handed the kids through the fence to the police. The next day they post a comment on Facebook to let CW know what happened. Then they are on the news.

And this is all the fault of CW.

Sheesh. Seems to me they were more interested in the 15 minutes of fame than anything.

If they really felt something had gone seriously wrong, you'd think they would have called or gone into the store the next day with a police report in hand as proof of CW's big mistake.

Sorry not buying it.

Sorry, but CW knew they were back there and locked up without checking on them. saying they should keep checking in with the front desk to see when they are closing is no way to shop for an RV. If I`m looking around, I`m paying attention to what I`m looking at. you lock up and go home without knowing where I am then you are wrong.

CW deserves all the bad press they get!

And do you go to browse through RVs 30 minutes before closing?

We are getting very few facts to the story - just a drama-enhanced bit from the couple. Did the employee tell them they were closing in 30 minutes and the couple insist they just wanted to check "one thing in a certain RV" and then they would leave? Only to go wandering into other RVs? Did the employee have cause to believe they were gone?

As I said above, I've seen the way customers behave at a store's closing time. I've heard them lie to get into the store only to then ignore the employee's warnings/instructions and do whatever they want. I've had them tell me "I'm leaving now" only to find them browsing an aisle at the back of the store 5 minutes later. I can just imagine how difficult that could be when they have RVs to disapear into with no concern about the employees.

Just because you don't like CW doesn't make them wrong in every situation.

Sure I do. Cars too. If they are open Iโ€™m going in to look around. Iโ€™ve gotten some of the best deals right at closing time!

Like I said, some salesman are so eager to make a sale, they won't give you a straight answer about closing time. Sorry, but the customer is never at fault for this kind of thing, unless they were purposely hiding. I've been on lots when a PA announcement was made, and typically all of the coaches get locked at night, serving as a way to "sweep" the lot for customers.

I think the family is generally taking it lightly, they just want someone to acknowledge they messed up.

Wonder if they just commandeered a golf cart after they found out they were abandoned, or if CW doesn't even bother to make sure they are all plugged in at night.

The video did not make me chuckle. It made me sad that they even made the video, but that is what our society has evolved into.
I won't absolve CW of all responsibility, they certainly played a roll.
However the couple is equally as guilty.
If I get locked in a store at closing time, I can only blame myself for not paying attention to the time vs. blaming someone else.

As we all know, there are a few posters that cannot pass up.a opportunity to bash CW. Instead of enjoying the camping opportunity they have available, they go out of their way to find things that may shame CW. Why they are allowed to state their twisted values on a website furnished by the co they are trying to shame. Why dont they put their views on Facebook and leave this forum to enjoyable views?

I was driving my Peterbilt up a mountain in Nevada. I stopped to Pee but I locked the keys in the truck so I couldn't get out.
