Back? VW never stopped making the Transporter, it just evolved.

It is now in its 6th generation. The last model imported into the U.S. was fourth generation, 1990-2003 T4, the first to go front-drive. What VW has been showing lately is a somewhat smaller microbus to be built on a compact car EV platform shared with a hatchback and a crossover SUV.

Did not say it was back. This version would be NEW to people in the US. EV version could be more an acquired taste.

EV Bus is not going to take you far. They already sell a Class B "VW Bus" Unlike the Put Put VW's of the past. This as a fully fitted out B will overtake cars at 70mph on a 7% Gradient hill

More like the "new" bug just a modern car dressed up to look like the original.

Probably can't import them but was just in Cairo and they are by far the most common van around (old style rear engine air/cooled)

Depends on range. Needs to be 200+ miles for most people to get around town. 300+ for long distance travel.

Should easily out accelerate the old air cooled Bus.

When is Spacex going to send up the first battery operated rocket to the ISS? I'm sure Elon told VW "I can get you 1000 mile range and a recharge from 50% time under an hour, but I'll need a few billion Euros for the R&D".

Resembles a Transit Connect from that camera angle.
Not likely to be an upfitted game changer at that size.
