Can anyone confirm the software for Ford was written by the Russians? :B

Unfortunately that confirmation was in Hillary's deleted emails. :B

I can confirm it was not (I was working there during part of the time). Some was written by Bosch, but most was written by Ford Engineers in Dearborn, MI. Since then, it is being maintained by Ford Engineers in England.

I would suspect the EPA is trying to justify its existence.

Under the current administration that is nearly impossible. A large percentage of the EPA scientist have already quit. I suspect those that are left are hoping to ride along long enough to get their retirement.

The lawyers are going after "guilt by association". Both VW and Ford used engine control software written by Bosch (Ford much less). Bosch was never accused of any wrong doing in the entire VW scandal.

You would think if they really did cheat like this lawsuit claimed they would be all over this. But this is just a private lawsuit.

Bingo, We as consumers pay for these bogus lawsuits as the cost is passed on. Same can be said for other targets of ambulance-chasing lawyers.

Like so many of them, they are probably looking for a quick โ€œundisclosed settlementโ€. Often cheaper for defendant to settle than to fight.

While I am no Ford fan I am very suspicious of lawyers and the EPA. Sounds like a bogus claim.
