2016 Ram/ bucking and chucking??

Bought this truck and had a great trip and truck very smooth with Cedar Creek fifth.
But after an EFI Live tune that included trany tune and pulling trailer now is very uncomfortable. Previously pulled full time in tow/haul. Not now. Won't shift to 6th till close to 80 mph even with foot off going down hill.
But the worst is the constant bucking/ chucking. This it did not do prior to tran tune.

The selling feature for the tran tune is it will now "lock up" in 2nd.
The 06 I had before the trany would heat up when pulling at slow speeds.

Sorry, you are correct. That was Cummins2014 that made that post. I was hopping back and fourth between pages on my phone and got the 24v98 and 2014 mixed up.

Not a chance in hell, it's physically impossible.

Truck runs great.

That's good to hear considering all the BS bickering that was going on.

Do you consider the percentage your aftermarket tires are off when figuring mileage? My tires were off by 5% on men 98 so I would take my miles X 1.05 and then divide by gallons used.

I corrected the speedometer at the dealer within a week of getting the new tires. Verified it by the Nav system and my phone's GPS speed.

Fair enough if you are modding for improved mileage. OP's mileage after deletes is equal to my truck with factory emissions though. What year is your truck Shiner?

I average about 16 to 17 with my driving in a stock 2015 2500. Non-towing driving for me is mostly around town, stoplights and hills. Occasionally I will get on I70 and head west for 60 or 70 miles at a time. I'm very pleased that my 8600 lbs, 370 hp, 800 lbs/ft torque truck can attain that mileage with emissions so I don't have to worry if my state introduces emissions inspections on trucks.

I have a post DEF 2014. When the truck was on stock tires, I was getting about 15.5 mpg hand calculated(17-18 EVIC). When I put larger 34 inch aggressive Nitto mud terrain tires my mileage dropped to 14.5 mpg hand calculated(16-17 EVIC). After the tune and still the same Nitto tires, my mileage went to 17 mpg hand calculated average(17-18 EVIC).

Oddly, the EVIC got closer to my hand calculated mileage with the tune so some people may not see a huge difference if they are only going by the mileage EVIC states. In my case, EVIC stated that I was getting the same mileage on stock tune and stock tread as I am with the tune on aggressive tread. If I didn't record my hand calculated mileage before and after only going by EVIC, then I would have never known that I actually gained mileage.

If I had stock tread or a less aggressive tire then I have no doubts I could probably get 18-19 mpg hand calculated. On the the rare occasion I do get above 18 mpg even with my current tires, but it does not happen enough to be the norm which is usually between 17-17.5 mpg and I round down.

Yup, I just don't remember what year truck Shiner has. One of our camping buddies has a 2011 CTD. His mileage isn't very good, but he loves the truck. Its only a tow vehicle, so he works it when he drives it and has never had a single emissions issue.

There is also the factor of the fuel economy bump will pay for it in X amount of miles depending on fuel cost and how much you gain. I gained a solid 2.5 mpg (I have 80k miles worth of fuel records to prove it) over stock going from 14.5 mpg to 17 mpg average. Doing the math, the fuel economy gain will save $1000 in 39,500 miles with diesel being at $2.50 per gallon. Seeing that I drive 27,000 miles a year, I will recoup that in a year and a half. If fuel is $2.75 per gallon then I will recoup that $1,000 in 36,000 miles. If fuel gets to $3.00 per gallon then it will be recouped in 34,000 miles.
