Watching a bowl game last night, I heard a brand new term used by the announcers... Somehow, sometime, "indisputable video evidence" morphed into "beyond the shadow of a doubt". When did that happen?

It seemed to be concurrent with the decision to stop calling pass interference, but it's slightly possible that I had a biased view.

Dunno about the rest of Football fans, but the review process is both time-consuming, breaks up the game, and doesn't change much in the big picture. ONE play does not win or lose a game often enough to matter.

Go back to the referees calling the game - and it will stop "more commercial breaks" while a team of refs a thousand miles away "looks" at video ... A referee mistake, just like an umpire mistake, has always been part of the game - Let it be!

I agree with monkey44. When they do look at one, what takes so long? Why, virtually every time, do they have to look 10 times to Sunday? Oh yeah you're right, more commercial time. College may be getting as greedy as the former NFL.
