Lots of people travel in September and October..don't let me put you off, Mike. You have snow n ice in the south..not like you haven't seen it before. Just that the distance from Alaska to warmer is a long way. Make that a weeks drive and even longer if the cold comes early. What a person does, is button up the RV..drain the lines and tanks, etc. Buy water as needed in jugs and carry on.

Ha. We may be tougher than we look.
How cold did ya say?

Yessss.......this I want to see. You coming out of Alaska anytime after mid-September. You have a lot of miles to run in places where the snow flies early..like in September. It's not the cold..it's the snow. And the cold.

For those of us in the different strokes crowd, the weather near Knik and Los Anchorage the past several days has just been fantastic: cool-ish clear days, cooler nights, snow creeping down the mountains.

....but then it rained on Monday. That wasn't good.
