Traveling here the second week of October, from Cincinnati to Disney World. Not bringing the travel trailer, but still looking for advice on a stopping point area, or "must sees" along the way. Thinking about stopping near Atlanta along the way, spending a day, or someone along that route, but wasn't sure of much attractions along that route. Traveling with a 4 year old, so the attractions would have to be kid friendly.
Thanks!!

Chattanooga, TN has a really good aquarium, Lookout Mountain, Creative Discovery Museum, Ruby Falls.

Use tripadvisor.com It's never steered me wrong.

I have to second Chattanooga. I took my granddaughters to the Aquarium when they were 4 and 6 and they had a great time. Do the Imax also.

I would make sure Disney World is okay before heading out...don't know what damage they may have after Irma. As was mentioned, Chattanooga would be a great place. Nice town...If you are heading south through Atlanta, we find the best time is real early in the morning or around high noon to miss the majority of the traffic. HOV lane and pedal to the metal...

Another vote for Chattanooga. Personally, our grandchildren enjoyed the aquarium and other activities far more than Disney. After a few hours at Disney they were ready to leave because they were bored. The price of Disney wasn't a good value for them. Children love to do hands on exploring at kids' science museums and creative discovery museums. Much cheaper than Disney too.

Chattanooga sounds excellent! thanks for the idea. BTW, everyone panics far in advance for Irma and Disney World lol.

How about good restaurants in Chattanooga? Anywhere we must eat at?
