TC Fails Pic Dump

I'd like to start a pic dump of TC Fails.

I'd to see ones you personally witnessed and snapped a pic of, because you'd likely also have a little bit of a back-story. Now, Google is full of them. If you think you've found one that's noteworthy, that's ok too.

I have two - A Host Everest on a 3/4 ton at a local dealer, and a TC that got blown off it's jacks during a wind storm here.

I would almost believe that rig could "pop-a-wheelie".

Like the one on the Ranger in the gasoline station. Get on the loud pedal and be looking at the sky....

When I was a kid, my grandpa had a tree farm and we always overloaded his flat bed truck with balled trees. It had a stick and I remember gramps popping the front wheels off the ground much to out enjoyment.

I don't have a photo, but about 39 years ago a guy came into out gas station for gas. He had a 10/1/2' Vacationeer Self Contained camper sitting on a lifted, GMC shortbed stepside 1/2 ton pickup. I asked him about his set up, he said that a spring shop added overloads and re-arced the other leaf springs, that was how he could carry his camper on his truck. I never forgot that one.

I can't picture the top would take much highway wind. the cables down to hood make me think that if this is real, he does not lower it. Plus its got to be pretty tall.

I think those are dual whip antennas on fender mounts and not cables from the camper.

Not so much a truck camper fail as a camper on a truck fail.

What exactly is “fail” about that? It’s not as good looking as everyone else’s $70,000 truck and $50,000 camper?
Looks like it works pretty welll. And has a lot of cargo room too.

Besides... you have tent trailer/camper who still is bear-proof.

You really think that gets driven with the top up?
It’s not on the street in the photo it’s parked.
I’d give whoever owns it a little more credit than that. It doesn’t look torn to shreds does it?

Beats hell outta throwing a few sand bags in the bed for extra weight and traction. Totally genius.
