Possibly easier to implement via GPS , make "smart' phones inoperable inside a MOVING vehicle.
That would probably decrease the number of crashes and near-crashes considerably. It's something that should have been done already, and no reason it can't easily be done.

I agree texting is super dangerous. I have thought about how easy it would be to make them in operable while moving at a certain speed. But then nobody in the passenger compartment would be able to use theirs either and that would be a major problem for most people.

Maybe we should let law enforcement search all of our possessions just to make sure we aren't doing anything illegal as well. I'm with other posters, innocent until proven guilty, not vice versa. Where would it all end?

It Gets Worse...

The guy that T-Boned me, is challenging that testing for Marijuana intoxication is not admissible in court. They need to iron this out before I get one cent.

You can't legislate morality or a sense of right and wrong. It must be taught. Maybe a law that says you can't be a lousy parent would work.

I think the government should take all the welfare money and pay a parent or grandparent to stay home until their kid is 12 years old. It would go a long way in solving this county's issues.

Lovely thought, but being a good parent is no guarantee that your kids won't have issues. It's just not that simple.

And that has exactly what to do with this thread?
