Nope, don't like the old "Guilty until proven innocent" idea. Just like I don't like the people checking sales receipts at the doorway as you exit a store. I'm not a criminal and resent being treated as such.

To me, texting while driving is just as bad as drunk driving. The technology exists to disable the texting feature of a phone while driving, but no politician I know of wants to touch that one. Deaths due to distracted drivers are on the rise while deaths from DUIs are still dropping.

Until the technology exists to only disable texting on the driver's phone, it'll never fly.

X2 on being searched at stores.

I tell em no, never had an argument about it.

Same thing about loss prevention alarms. I just keep on walking.

The automatic breath-a-lizer ignition devices have been required by the courts since last century.. They work well but there is one issue.. Many times a Previously convicted of OUI driver will have a sober friend blow into the thing or figure out another way to fake it out. After all Criminals WILL BE CRIMINALS.

True story: Man with not one or two but SEVEN prior OUI convictions, on parole, special conditions include No booze (no possession, No consumption, NO being in a place where it is served) NO operation of a motor vehicle.. NOTE: What is Operatin.... Well you can open and close the passenger door when so restricted and buckle/unbuckle the passanger seat belt but DO NOT change radio stations or perform ANY operation needing a key. Like unlocking a door or trunk.

He picked up his keys (Felony) Drove to work (Felony) then to a bar with his pay check (Felony, Felony) got drunk (Felony) Attempted to drive home (Felony) hit a jeep head on and wound up with 20 years for 2nd degree Homicide.. Should have been 1st in my opinion but in MI 1st or 2nd.. Same sentence.

Home is where I park it.

"Actually, we know you are honest so we inspect everyone so that honest people like yourself will not be offended.

Costco comes to mind.
