What's in a name?

As a new owner, I've been researching and reading everything I can get my hands on (found that reading an owner's manual may cure my insomnia better than anything else).

One of the things I've noticed is that many people have named their trailer. I always thought it would be awesome to name my home, like you see in the UK. I've just never not come up with a name that fits. Perhaps I'll have better luck with my RV.

So, does your RV have a name? If so, what's the name and the story behind it.

My wife has a name but she doesn't do anything I say if I call her by name. She call's me Hey or HEY YOU! If I hear Hey You I duck as a flying saucer is coming my way.

You've never been ignored until you've been ignored by a cat.

Ships don't come when you call them either, but they all have names.

Why bother? It's not going to come when you call it.

Quoting myself here, hilarious. Actually most of the time I can't remember what I'm talking about so names don't help.

We named our Phaeton "Phaeton Place." A play on the term "Peyton Place."

Our little B+ we call "MinnieMee." Our little candy apple red Mazda Miata with retractable hardtop we call "Little Red." The new toad, a Ford Flex we call "The Flex." LOL DH's cousin calls that one "The Hearse." Hahaha

Didn't really start out naming them, the names just kind of "came to them."

At the moment we're visiting with my wife's family & friends Down Under where a travel trailer is called a "caravan" so "The Caravan" seems like an appropriate name for ours! :B

Ours is Yoda because he rides on the rear ladder, flips everyone off and when they pass they flip me off like it's my fault. Dumb Yoda. I have a herd of Black Angus, all are named.

I have an old Mercedes convertible that I threw some period correct rims on.
All the guys on THAT forum were ewing and ahing....and my comment was that they were just lipstick on a Pig.
The name stuck....to be forever known as The PIG.

My handle on all the forums is Nobby...a name given to me by my first Supervisor in the airline industry back in 1980.
He was an ex- British Navy dude.

Which leads me to my trailer...The Porta-Nobby.

We had a Pop-Up we called Poppy, and our current TT the wife named Bucky Bunkhouse, it's friends just call it Bucky. Our TT must be smarter than some of y'alls. Everytime when we head out, I say "C'mon Bucky" and he follows right along. 🙂

Somehow the names for the campers just came to be with no effort, but we've been trying to comeup with a name for our boat for 5 years, and it is still just "The Boat"
