No he wouldn't. Why would he? Drivers bring their cars to the garage all the time when there's nothing to be gained on track. It's only a story when it's the 18.

The best part of the races is at the end to see what kind of pout-fest "he" will provide. Well, that and watching the Monster Girls jocky for position behind the winner during interview ;-)

Enjoy the monster ladies while they last. Homestead will be their last appearance.

Yes, Thomas, and have you seen anything on sponsorship for 2020 and beyond? Getting down to the nitty gritty!

There won't be a season long series sponsor. There will be several sponsors for portions of the season.

Yes, there is no outfit going to singularly sponsor the whole enchilada for what FRANCECAR thinks they are worth. Shoot, car owners need multiple sponsors just to keep the doors open. But time is drawing close and the new season is coming quickly.

Yes, we know that there has been a slow and steady decline of old-fashioned auto racing. You would have to be blind, deaf and dumb to not have noticed. For us, the true fans, we're happy to know that NASCAR will keep trying to keep it going until we all die. For me, that means anywhere from 3 to 12 years. My favorite driver will probably retire in 4 to 10 years, no matter what you say. He ran around, at the back of field for a few laps (with broken panhard link) and decided that it was stupid, so he drove to the garage. Is that the best you got?

Read a story a month or so back that NASCAR refused Monster's offer to pick up the option they held on 2020 season sponsorship, as they are committed to implement their new entitlement sponsor model sooner than later. I understand the the principle, but still wonder given declining interest in motorsports in general if they can raise even as much money as was raised by a single sponsor such as Sprint or Winston. We know Monster got a bargain basement deal ($20M estimated).

Another consideration. In what, 3 years, NASCAR will be negotiating another TV contract, have to believe that won't command the money the current one did. And given the repeated rumors NASCAR is for sale, tracks and all, have to think the talk of a year ago NASCAR would establish its own broadcast network is out the window.

It had to happens sooner or later but it came at the right time for K Larson and the 42 team. Good win.
Seems like the Camero guys are finally getting the slug worked out for them to compete.
And what a nitemare for the 9 and 22 car the first few laps.
