Maybe they could have rolled out all of these new rules at Homestead?
Perhaps they did to the teams, but just now announcing it? I doubt it but maybe. No way that many people can keep a seacret.
I'm getting dizzy trying to keep up.
But it should be fun on the 26TH in Daytona. 7 cars running at the finish. Can't wait.

NASCAR made the new rules public last month. According to Brian France, all of the industry stakeholders were involved in developing the new format.

7 cars running at the finish sounds like the 'good ole days' before restrictor plates when teams didn't rebuild cars in the pits, and the average winning margin over the second place car was 40-50 seconds. Close to 1/4 of the pre-plate races ended with one car on the lead lap.

Oh boy, now it's really getting stupid crazy. The new rules about pre race tech inspections are just a little different haha.
I'm going to Daytona but I think it might be like me watching a ice hockey game, as in in what the heck is going on here?
Let's see Chad work this out.
Is it any coincidence that the Nascar column today in the Raleigh News and Observer is on the obituary page? Gave me a chuckle. Let's hope not.

Nascar has been on life support for some time now. Remember, ESPN didn't even bid on a television contract to carry nascar. (ESPN carries a lot of sports including underwater monopoly championships).

Maybe these changes will breath some new life into a sport I have loved and followed for a long long time....maybe, hopefully.

Yeah, and just released more penalty rule changes. I like buck's post about the Raleigh News and Observer and the other about "life support".

I wish 'Untold Stories' spent more than a few minutes on Smokey Yunick. He was Chad Knaus before there was Chad Knaus. And it's an absolute outrage he in not in NASCAR's Hall of Fame.

I saw somewhere where a columnist was saying that Alan Kulwicki should be in the hall of fame. I'm sorry but I don't agree, tragedy kept him from attaining the long term track record required for greatness. Smokey, oh hell yes.
When you look at the list of air deaths in Nascar if I was them I'd stay in the Coach.
