Tesla model 3 is coming on line shortly and claims 20,000 a year in a year. But that isn't the news that affects us other than over 373,000 or already ordered and the more that are sold the less oil and that means yet cheaper cost for us. The news I thought that was interesting was the announcement of a new semi-truck that they are going to show off in September............. Does that mean other trucks soon? Electric ones that can pull campers?????? We will have to wait and see. Imagine if we embraced solar now as the Chinese are, how long would it take to have electricity for all these cars. What a concept that would be. Oh well will be a few years before we could reenter that main stream.

Good morning. Production is slated to be 200,000 in 2018 for Tesla. The ramp up though will continue thru this fall and the first quarter of next year. A significant percentage are right hand drive though and many others will be made for export to Europe and Asia, so different lights etc. Some speculate that only a third will be sold on this side of the pond and even some of those will be Canadian Spec. Some 2019 forecasts are for 280,000 covering the X the S and the 3. Things will probably be in flex until the gigafactory comes on line. Depending on your source there are varying numbers.

If talking about electric cars bothers you, just don't read it.

Talked to a fellow yesterday and he mentioned that fuel was 88 cents per litre in Saskatchewan. That's like 2.40 US per US gallons.

Volvo just announced they are not building gas only cars past 2019. They are not spending any more money on R and D for gas vehicles. They will run out the clock on gas and diesel engines on the technology that they have. This kinda thing will only push the price of gas lower. I think its getting almost as cheap to run our pusher now as when we bought it in 2003. Our home town is still at 1.07 per litre but I bet it will be under a buck within a year.

RV fuel can be electric . Price of doing electric can affect prices d
so other than the mundane listing of fuel prices this adds to the discussion.
Take a deep breath and expand your horizons.

HO LEE DOGGY STUFF !

Start a new topic with your expanding of horizons.

I would guess some .000005% of RV's are electric and about the same per cent relating to fuel pricing.

Pretty soon I will get really outspoken and then my friendly Moderator (Come on, Sxxxx !) will shut this down. :-)

Or we could start into politics on it; that should so it.
