My oldest sister's husband passed away suddenly yesterday. They have been married over 50 years.
Please pray for her and the family.

He is the 3rd member of our family to pass in the last 12 months.

Prayers to all our friends in Florida. Don't take any unnecessary chances, even if the storm course changes. This is one of the largest hurricanes I have seen in my lifetime; it's literally the size of the entire state. It's going to leave a lot of damage in its wake, but damage can be fixed, lives can't. Be careful out there, and stay safe.

Dan and Patty, my condolences to you and your family.

I just moved the fifth wheel up on the driveway close to the house. It's normal place is close to some very old Pine trees that are about one hundred feet tall. They have a shallow root system so they are subject to fall over in strong winds.

Jim stay safe and keep us informed on how well you and the family are doing. Something this large and powerful can do a lot of damage. Our prayers go out to you and all the families in Florida and Georgia.

Our daughter Robin lives in Blakely, Georgia which is on the border of Florida and Alabama. They live in a low area subject to flooding so I advised her to go to their church and stay there during the storm.

It looks like Irma is turning more toward the west which will benefit us as we will escape a lot of the wind and rain. Our weather forecast calls for wind gusts of up to sixty miles per hour with heavy rain starting Monday.

Hello everyone

We made it through the storm! The hurricane made landfall earlier than expected and was a CAT 1 storm with around 85mph winds by the time it got through are area. It is still dark outside so I can't really see anything but the house is fine. We lost power last night right at 6pm. I started up the generator at 6am this morning to get the fridge and deep freezer going. Hopefully they can get the power back on in the next couple of days. We still have cell service so I can still access the internet.

All the humans and fur kids are fine.

Dan and Patty, Sorry about the death in the family. Prayers for all.

Burch, glad you made it safely. I haven't talked with my son in Melbourne since they got hammered last night, but DH said he talked with him this morning. He was up getting the generator gassed up again. All was well then.

I think they are out of the problem area this morning.

Prayers for all,

Dale
