You all make me feel bad. I'm sitting outside with Rocky and Cookie soaking up the Sun. Mid 60's here in Mesquite, NV. Heading for lower 60's tomorrow in Saint George, UT as the Balloons are over as of this morning. We really enjoyed it.

I'll try to turn my fans up on high and point them East to you frozen folks.

Good morning everyone. Winter has ben brutal so far this year. The folks above the Mason Dixon Line have really had a rough winter. I watched folks make houses for the cat colonies that are homeless. They take a plastic storage container and cut a hole in one end and then put a Styrofoam ice chest inside, cutting a hole in it to line up with the hole in the plastic container. Then line it with towels between the Styrofoam ice chest and the plastic container, put towels inside the Styrofoam container, put the lid on the plastic container and tape it shut. They lined the hole cut in the Styrofoam ice chest with tape to keep it from tearing. This makes a nice little home for homeless cats during this cold winter.

Okay, now for the homeless dogs. some folks have been putting dog houses out at the dumpsters along with food and water. After they have room for them in foster homes they gather them up and take them in.

I hope everyone is well and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Doug we actually had reservation in St. Augustine. We cancelled the 1st of December though. We are having a home built and decided to stick around here while it is being built.
Patty is finally moving out of her Mom and Dads house. [emoticon]
We purchased her childhood home shortly after we were married. She has spent most of her life in the house. It took awhile for her to agree to move. We have talked about downsizing for several years and we are finally doing it.

Good morning everyone. It's 45 degrees here in the Deep South but just above us in Western North Carolina it's much colder and snowing. Our high today will be in the upper 40's so I will be snuggling by the fire today, glad I got more firewood.

I found out yesterday Ronnie Hayslip passed away. He was my boss at Life Of Georgia for many years until I retired. Ronnie was a good guy. I got reconnected with Andy Tipaldos who was a district manager with Life Of Georgia for many years until Life Of Georgia was sold off sometime around 2009. Andy always took care of me whenever we went on the President Club trips. On one trip to Hawaii he met Sue and I at the airport and gave me money out of his pocket and told me I had one of the best rooms at the hotel and all of our expenses were taken care of. He gave us a rental car while we were there and all of our outings, such as golf and tours and meals were paid for. We drove on the road to Hanna, that was an experience. Those were some very good years.

Andy was surprised to learn about the 72 Lincoln and it's connection with Arnold Palmer. Time flies when you are having fun. We learned this week son in law Jeff's father Dan has some serious heart problems and will require surgery. He also has kidney problems that has to be dealt with before the heart surgery can happen so Dan McMillan needs our prayers.

Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.

Good Morning all, I am so sorry to read about Gary he sure was a nice man and I enjoyed reading his posts. I know I don't post on here much but I do read every day. I ran across something today that just needs to be posted here. I discovered this guy in the 90's at a Brooks & Dunn concert. His story is pretty sad battled cancer but is doing good. I saw this on Facebook and just had to share here. You all make me cry over dogs all the time, my turn enjoy.

It's cold here in southern IN, but we are taking 2 horses and 2 dogs to Florida in 3 weeks. I may have my hands full horses haven't been ridden in months and for my 40th wedding anniversary 1/26/19, my husband got me a puppy. We named her Ruby part great Pyrenees & Rottweiler. Goes great with my chihuahua. I'm home alone a lot and she is working on training, going to be my protector and Peanut (chi) guard dog.

Don't know how to make the link so you can click on it. May have to Google Wade Hayes+ Who Saved Who Video

Since Gary's passing is still fresh on our minds, I thought I would share some pics I took of him at the 1st OFR in Branson, 2006. I am sure both "Dashonthedash"'s are happily reunited. He loved that dog so.

Sad to hear of Gary's passing, thanks for the pictures of the first rally DOTL daddy. If I'm not wrong I believe that's where he changed his handle to Dashonthedash. I remember the wind in Colorado and a few people had issues with the water. He was such a soft spoken man with a heart of gold that loved his Greyhounds. I remember his big move from Colorado as well. Rest in peace Gary.
