RE: Jeep towed discharged when towing. This is new.

Voltage check mentioned above is a good procedure. I would use a clamp on DC amp meter on the charge line to easily observe the charging amperage.

RE: Vancouver, WA to Cape May, NJ (November 1st)

While staying in Cape May check out Cape May Mobile Estates as a place to stay. Long pull thru sites. Close to the graduation and the Lobster House Restaurant.

RE: Do you leave plugged into shore power...?

I'm plugged in 24/7 using a 50A outlet in my garage. Measured charge current at 400ma in trickle mode. Batteries have 2 quarts of distilled water added about every 3 months.

RE: 50 AMP and plugging in at home

Advise your electrician you simply want a standard 50A range outlet installed. Suggest that you request he install the ground at the top of the outlet so your RV power cord hangs freely. I used 6 ga wire for a run of about 15 feet.

RE: 240V from 120V generator

You can feed both 120 volt legs of your house by jumping the one hot leg over to both legs off the house. You will not have 240 volts to power things like the stove, dryer, A/C, but both legs of the house power will be charged with 120 volts. X2

RE: Cape Breton Island

Set up camp, then using your toad, stay about midway across cape at a B&B, continue tour the next day. We did this and got plenty of information at the B&B.

RE: Boondocking in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland

Not sure about the rules in NS. I stayed in many large shopping centers as low profile as possible. Never a problem.

RE: FMCA tire program on a diesel

Well pleased with my FMCA Michelin tire purchasing experience. Sold old tires on Craigslist for $600.00 as dealer didn't want them.

RE: Base plate question

looks like the Blue Ox base plate on our '03 Wrangler. X2 Looks like the baseplate on my 2015 Wrangler which I know is a Blue Ox because my wife and I installed it.

RE: 40' Diesel Pusher wandering on the road

Check tire footprint. Check for plenty of positive caster. Check for worm and sector play in steering box and or steering linkage.
