RE: Looking into a 2017 Grand Design

I take it you are new to RVing. Grand Design has been around for a while and rather popular. We never bothered looking at them as none of their models suited us.

RE: Oh shoot. The toilet foot pedal fell off.

Throw away society but don't think I could hold it till Amazon could come through. Go with the new potty. In

RE: Thermostat settings

Our Dometic has high, medium, low and auto. Only time the fan stops is when the desired temp is reached on auto. We run both the AC units on high till night then place them on auto. We're in the mountains and the temps will drop below the set AC temp at night.

RE: Fifth wheel brakes

I was told if your brakes are adjusted properly you should set the gain at 50% in a safe area drive to 20mph and stomp on the pedal. If your trailer brakes lock reduce gain, if not increase gain and repeat and continue to increase the gain till they lock at 20mph. You then want to back off to the previous gain where they didn't lock at 20mph. As the brakes wear you will need to either adjust the gain or the brakes.

RE: Campgrounds costing less than $20 per night

We're volunteering at a BLM campground this season very nice area. Good boat launch, docks for over night campers, $5 day use or $15. Per camping unit 2 allowed per site and half the people complain about the price.

RE: 3 month stays

What color truck should I buy? Full hookup can range from campgrounds with trees in the middle of nowhere to full on activity laden campgrounds near urban areas I prefer white or silver.

RE: Chaser and Chasee

We've been doing it for 9 years except for our trips to Alaska. We are full time and volunteer for 3-5 months at a time. Going to look for a new vehicle as our present 2005 Focus has 200,000 miles and not ready to spend a lot of $ on it.

RE: Need list of states where Walmarts have wine!

Not a wine drinker but beer and both of those seem to be sold where hard liquor is not so add Tennessee and Louisiana. Though I can only comment on Nashville and New Orleans as local restictions may apply in other locals.

RE: Costco battery?

What series battery do you presently have, if it has served you well the same should work in the future.

RE: Camping or Glamping?

Well we went from a tent to a 5th wheel, but also from a weekend camper to full time. We no longer consider ourselves campers we're RVers. If having a washing machine, dishwasher, satellite dish and other amenities of a S&B's is what you call glamping, l guess we do.

RE: Drinking Campground Water...

Ten years full time drink the water everywhere that it's tested and passed as potable. You can always add a shot of Knob Hill or CC to purify and improve the taste.

RE: Android Tablet Question

Thanks for your reply, stickdog. Keep in mind I'm using an android tablet, not a phone. Swiping down from the top of the screen only reveals some notifications, nothing about locking the screen.. Mr Ed, my phone and my tablet are both Android and the icon s are the same on both and can be accessed from the front top of either device.

RE: Android Tablet Question

Don't know your brand but on both my Moto4 and my Samsung Galaxy tab I can lock the screen. Just pull down the drop screen and the icon for screen lock is there.
