Sink covers on or off

What do you do with your sink covers during travel? Leave them on or remove and store?

RE: Topper under mattress

Having the same problem. Our old unit we started with the topper on top, then moved it to the bottom and had great success. We have traded units and am having no luck with the topper on top or bottom. I have come to think the mattress plays a bigger part in this than thought. It took us many months of looking for a mattress for the house just can not think of looking for one for the camper but think its coming to that. I like this mattress. It’s pretty comfortable. It’s just a bit too thin. I’ve used topper with comfort success but I get way too hot. Never thought of putting it on the bottom until I had the epiphany the other day. I said I must post this question to RVnet

Topper under mattress

As always the new Denver premiuim mattress in my new FW sucks. I've used mattress pads in the past but i sweat like a hog. The matress itself is very comfortable but at my larger than normal human size after about half hour my hip is hitting plywood. I was thinking about getting an extra firm topper and putting it under the mattress. Anybody ever do this?

RE: NY - Dutchess/Columbia county residents

scootsk, did you pick up your trailer yesterday? Yes. Sitting proud on her site. Drove to the overpass on Friday with my Giraffe G4. The overpass is 16’ plus.

Yes. Jackson corners to e Kelley corners to rte 9 to 199 and over the bridge. The overpass is our only issue for that route. Saves a lot of time too.

RE: NY - Dutchess/Columbia county residents

I’m a seasonal in Copake. When I travel I leave from there. What a joy not to deal with the city. I’m bringing my old 5th wheel to camping world and returning with the new one. I went under the overpass on Monday morning and in the dark it seemed very high. I’ve towed a TT for a friend taking that route but it’s was not even close to 13’4”.

RE: NY - Dutchess/Columbia county residents

I would not bring my fifth wheel on the Taconic. I believe it is limited to passenger vehicles That is correct. Passenger cars and light trucks only. Many clearances are very low. Sorry David, maybe I wasn't clear, I'm driving on Jackson Corners Road and going under the Taconic. I was curious of the clearance for that underpass. Google StreetView doesn't show any clearance signs on the underpass itself (sometimes a good way to check). Is Route 2 (Jackson Corners Rd) shown on a Trucker's Atlas as a truck route? If so, you should be OK. Actually went under it yesterday at 4:00 am. Looked high enough but I don’t want to find out the hard way. I actually did the whole route on google maps street view on Sunday. But I just wanted reinforcement for piece of mind. It’s also my understanding that in New York that all bridges under 14’ must be marked. So am I to assume that it is 14’ or over?

Snap pads

I've done a search and there's nothing of note on the forums. Does any body have snap pads installed and how do you like them? Snap pads

I would not bring my fifth wheel on the Taconic. I believe it is limited to passenger vehicles and some of the bridge heights are less than 13'. My camper is 13'2". David Sorry David, maybe I wasn't clear, I'm driving on Jackson Corners Road and going under the Taconic. I was curious of the clearance for that underpass.

Hi all I'm bringing a new fifth wheel to our campground on Saturday. I'm concerned about the Taconic parkway underpass at Jackson Corners Road in Elizaville, does anybody know the height of that underpass? Would a 13.5' FW fit under it?

JT strong arm and six point auto leveling system

Good morning I’m picking up a new Montana fifth wheel with six point auto leveling system. I have JT Strong Arms on my current Jayco. Should I keep the strong arms for the new FW or let the new owner of my Jayco enjoy them? I’m not sure how steady a 41’ FW is with the six point system, does it need extra steadying the the JT provides?

RE: Miniature plastic window and door (woodworkers)

Amazon, Etsy and Ebay came up with multiple options. Hobby Lobby also carries them. Try this company as well: https://minimumworld.com/?sn.q=windows&sn.s=-score&sn.ff.s_category=Doors%2C%20Windows%20and%20Building%20Supplies Those are some of the options I saw in my search. I want a more folksy look that the “Amish” pieces provide.

RE: Miniature plastic window and door (woodworkers)

Do they have to be plastic? It looks to me like the sort of thing that could be put together pretty easily with little strips of wood and some glue...persnickety work, perhaps, but not really hard. It has to be weather proof. The fine wood that would be necessary would be greatly effected by the weather. I think the wood would require way too much maintenance.

Miniature plastic window and door (woodworkers)

Hi all, I am doing a woodworking project and was trying to find place the sells the window and doors that are on those amish made barn mailboxes. Tried googling all sorts of things but can't find them. I do not know what they are called. tried dollhouse supplies, hobby stores, googled 3 inch plastic window miniature. Just can't find them.https://i.imgur.com/TYIUFv4l.jpg
