RE: Bill giving residents priority at booking FL state parks

Well to me I it would depend: who is carrying most of the freight and by how much - camping fees or state taxpayers? Private campgrounds it’s a no brainer.

Both - “still going” and “cutting back” aren’t mutually exclusive (you can do both).

RE: RVIA Certificate?

Are going to chance traveling from Seattle to Florida and not have a spot to camp when you get there? Call them and talk to them, you don’t have to give your name; but you don’t want to end up sleeping in a parking lot with no hook ups.

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

If we can now ration electricity use by type (i.e. “wasteful”), we can also eliminate pools, hot tubs, saunas, nightlights, more than one clock, supplemental electric heaters (including block heaters), more than one refrigerator, electric garage door openers, etc., etc., etc. Until then, bitcoin has the same rights as EV owners. Then on top of that, they talk about banning gas stoves.

RE: RV Wholesalers - reviews/opinions wanted

You have time on your side, why not negotiate with your local dealer using the price you have from RVw as a bargaining chip. You have time, ordering it is not a big deal; looks like you have a 2020 you can use for 6 months.

RE: Another heated water hose question

… I really don’t think it will be cold enough long enough to be a problem ,but around here it’s hard to tell this far out.what if it went down to 20 at night with a high of 30 during the day, for a week? That’s certainly possible.

What about the billions of subsidies to the oil companies?
What about Exxon (and likely others) knowing in the 1970-80ties about global climate change? All the while spending money to cast doubt on their own results?

Just for grins, guess who’s going to be selling carbon credits in the Green New Deal:

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

Why are EV's better again?
That happens when you forget what you were writing about half way into the paragraph, which explains most of your posts.
EVs are better when they have a lower cost of ownership.
Forget all the bull-**** politics and skirt, skirt, skirt and cherry pick that you are writing, I'll make it simple for you: If an electric car means I will spend less money overall, that is what I drive. I have been doing it for 10 years. That is why an EV is better for a some application. I primarily care about my pocket, like most people in this world (or at least the ones who use reason over politics)If EV’s are so cheap to own and operate, why do they spend billions of dollars of our money to subsidize them?
Did you not read MY POCKET? Like everybody else, I only care about MY POCKET, MY MONEY. I am not going into an argument which very few people in the country can have with enough information. I simply use the only common denominator to most people, THEIR OWN POCKET.And I am sure your POCKET included the nice tidy sum of the $7500 tax credit courtesy of the rest of us.

RE: Rivian R1S

Hum!! That’s the opposite of what I noticed last summer. I was camping and thought somehow I got misplaced into the big fiver’s section. It felt like I was camping in a teeny tiny TT compared to the rest of the sites (and mines 28 ft). One was even being pulled by a class 8 tractor. Now makes me wonder what the real statistics are about the size of the campers being sold. This seat of the pants blathering is probably very subjective and possibly not very objective. Real data backed up with links would be very useful.

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

…I’m sure the various utilities will figure it out. Those that don’t will look like 3rd world entities. I’m sure they’ll want to avoid that…. No problem fixing it, all you need is a bunch of dollar bills with 12 zero on them. Hence, rolling blackouts.

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

…The BC hydro website digs into this a bit. Essentially the province doesn’t have a problem with generating capacity. But distribution and grid will adapt in the normal course of maintenance and up keep going forward to adapt to the changing load in neighborhoods etc. They don’t see any issues going forward. I realize that this is not the case everywhere... Only a comparative minuscule number of people get their power from BC Hydro. The vast majority of us have a far different reality - reality being the grid already won’t handle it and getting worse by the day. What BC Hydro says is comparatively a knat on the wall to the rest of us.

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

Like it or not, pay by the mile driven is coming down the road (figuratively speaking). Variables could include type of road, GVWR of vehicle, time of day, etc.
I would add that GPS data could easily be obtained and recorded to only track type of road, jurisdiction of road and miles driven on said road. But regardless, if you have a cell phone you can already be tracked; case in point: J6 defendants.

RE: Armada to Pull 33' Lightweight TT

What you need to know is the “actual” weight of the front and rear axles of the Armada when is loaded and ready to go (minus trailer), but including dog, kids, snacks and everything else in the Armada. Once you know that, and the GVWR of the Armada, you can figure out what is left over for tongue weight of trailer.

RE: Flying J / Pilot to install megachargers for med/heavy trks

Pop IQ test!!!
I want to take a fox, a goose, and some corn across the river. I can only take one at a time with me in my boat. How can I do this, when the fox will eat the goose, the goose will eat the corn, if left unattended? Help!!Take the goose, go back and take the coyote across and bring the goose back on the return trip, then take the corn across leaving the goose, go back and get the goose. Any more stupid questions? Or can we be done with the stupid riddles that have no bearing on the original post?
Seeing as it was an IQ test, do I get extra credit if I have two solutions?
I Buy a bigger boat and cut my workload way down.

^^^Winner, winner! Kind of like a hybrid. Not at all like a hybrid. A hybrid uses the cotton first then when the cotton is gone it uses the wool.

Yes that is unfortunate as it seems to allude to a lack of reading comprehension in the unfortunate 93% who missed the words “10 times more”.
Maybe that’s why they believe purchasing carbon credits eliminates co2.
