RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

Its a door. No one would mistake it for their door. If you like being " out there" so people will remember you, go for it. If you are a more low key family, probably not. BTW, did you ask your wife?

fulltimin, dont forget. this is YOUR project. Your money, your time and most of all, your decision. Just like it is mine to decide if I want to read your posts or not. We all have that choice. I do admire your fortitude. I was a tad bored with the wheel wells, but hey, you do need them. :) You havent lost me yet. I continue to read, even at 6:30 til 7am . As Bruce said, " Carry on".

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

We have had a bit of rain several days ago, since then, nada. We did have some thunder earlier today, but again, nothing. Last night about 11 m we lost our power for couple of hours. We just finished going to bed and then about 2am, our power came back on. After checking everything, making sure all lights were off, we went back to bed. Tell you one thing.....it was REALLY dark here. Gracie didnt like that.

RE: cat toys

I save milk bottle caps for my daughtes cat. Also that hanging a thing from the ceiling, it needs to be something small and wispy like a feather. To add to the fun, add a small spring to the top of that string. BTW, if you are doing the playing in an RV, don't use the small toys and balls if you have slide outs. or keep the toy on a string your main play thing.

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

My gosh Mower, you had almost hurricaine strength winds! It surely does sound as tho you are going to have to get your insurance people involved! With winds that srong I am wondering if you were regreting being in the MoHo? that thing must have rocked like a cradle. Keep us posted on how things are going. We had a lot of thunder and lightning and wind last night. I had a writing spider that lived by my front door. and doesnt seem to be anyplace about this morning. my flowers are all laying down. I tried to lift them verticle but they just flopped back down. So I gave up. I havent gone around the rest of the property to check on things, but what is is what is. Art sems to be feeling a bit better this morning. I am hoping so. He has had three really bad days. When he has bad days, I have really bad days too because I fetch and carry for him, then my knees ache all night when I try to sleep. also we have skipped Kahlans taekwando practice. Maybe tonight! Have a good day everone....and God Bless.

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

Mower, it sounds as tho you need a few goats to put in the Pasture. Maybe you can borrow a few from a friendly neighbor? I keep threatning to do that at times. I dont know if you know this, but SC is really prolific in the goat catagory. I know a family in Ct that has a lot of goats and they make and sell goat soap. It is not cheap either. they get like $5 a bar for it and the bars are NOT large. Of course they live in a NY bedroom community. Those city people are always looking for strange stuff to spend their money on. Have you ever done any soap making?

sorry to learn you are dealing with all that heat Mower. I feel sure that the temps will begin moderating soon. It is august. We are doing the chemo thing here this week. Art had the infusion yesterday and then the pump was attached he will wear the pump today and until about 3 or 4 pm tomorrow, Then after it is removed he will have a decent night friday and then friday he will start not feeling well. Next week he will be sick most of the week.Di I tell you, lung cancer is no fun?

RE: Is it too much to ask...

I have found Toms to be unscented. I look for it in drug stores. it is made by a small company in Maine. I have asthma and always on the look out for unscented products. Toms also makes a pretty good toothpaste. Look for them, you wont be disappointed.

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

Mower, that's great for your son! Art did the colon thing too, radiation and chemo. that chemo he had was easier, it was all pills that he took. He has tested ok for that, just had it looked at this summer. This lung cancer now is kicking his behind. He had a ct scan about a month or so ago and while the spots remain there and the same size, we are of course hoping for them to decrease in size or best yet, disappear. the chemo for lung cancer , for Art is infusion and that's a day, and then he comes home with a pump that pumps more chemo into him for 46 hours and then he has to go back to have the pump removed. It makes him pretty sick for over a week. By the time he starts feeling decent, its time to do it again. No doubt about it, cancer is NO fun. Guys, I really appreciate your messages to Art. Your thoughts make him feel better. He has been a great guy. He paid the freight for our kids and then we took in two more and he did the same for them. One of them I guess is never going to leave home and she and her daughter really are good for Art. The little girl, Kahlan is always making us smile. Again, Thank you for your thoughts and reinforcement! I love you all! Glad to hear mower that you made it thru the storm in good shape. After an extremely wet spring, we are having a dry spell here. We could use a nice rain about now. sorry about your neighbor. He could use the services of my SIL I guess. One of my SIL's is an electrician. Every time he comes to visit, he is looking for something to do. I am fortunate, he always checks my trees and makes my yard look great.

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

I again have been absent for a while. I just don't like this laptop. It has been pretty warm here and Art had chemo again last Wednesday. My youngest daughter was here and I loved having her, but I wish it was just because she was visiting and not because of the chemo. Poor Art, this constant feeling sick is so hard on him.

We had a very warm day yesterday and then lst night, a heavy downpour and of course, thunder and lighning. I kinda like the thunder and lightning. What a show. Better than television!

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

Yeah, actually the reason we walked over was that we had made plans to buy a huge doll house that his daughter had outgrown. We thought the Uhaul was him going to move stuff out and we wanted to pay for and get the doll house for our grand daughter. So, it worked out for the best. People can be so terrible. We are forcast for high 90's all next week. I guess Kahlan will be spending most of awake hours in the pool. yep, that high 70's and nightime 40's sounds REAL good :) Art got his chemo pump off this afternoon, so, I guess he will be in the pool too tomorrow. He is actually looking like he is gaining some of his weight back. I am hoping thats a good sign. He has a ct scan next month, so we shall see. He told me today that he hates not being able to drive. Of course thats not going to change, his eye sight has just gone down hill. We have another nibble today on the MoHo. I am hoping its a good one. Having that cash in hand would be great. Chemo , even with our great insurance is expensive. Have a great time in Montana and enjoy those great temps.

RE: Friends from the "OOP'S" thread.

Its live and learn Mower! We have been having thunderstorms most nights now. I think thats perfect. I love to hear the roar of the thunder and see natural fireworks. Luckily Gracie is not bothered by it. We had a couple of nibbles on the MoHo but one couldnt get financing and the other said no way could they afford it. People want a lot for nothing it seems. The house closest to us is being sold and yesterday a couple of guys backed into that driveway. They were in a Uhaul truck, so we walked over and they said they were just going to look. Odd, looking with a uhaul they blathered on a while and then left. Called the owner and he came there. and has been moving out his belongings. We feel sure the uhaul guys were thinking they had an haul. People can be so terrible.
