RE: Why A Macerator Toilet Versus Regular

Probably due to the location of the second toilet. One is probably located over the black tank so it is a straight drop of "stuff" to the tank. The second toilet cannot be located over the black tank so it will take more water to move the "stuff" to the tank. Macerating it makes it easier to move "stuff" down the pipe

RE: Gets-you-home insurance?

Coachnet, one of the reasons I have them, they will get wife & RV home if needed. The plus is their road side assistance is top notch. 1st question has always been are you safely off the road. Major break down a few years back, tow truck for TV & 1 ton dully for the 5W. Sign the bill, asked driver what the cost was and was told $900 plus. They put the 5W in an RV park, and TV to the repair shop. Apologized for the time it took as the closest could handle the call was over an hour away from me. Took about 1.5-2.0 hrs before they where on scene. You are refering to a towing service for your vehicles. The OP was talking about emergency evacuation if you are incapicated

RE: TPMS TST 507 vs EEZRV tire system

I have a TST system with the color monitor. My coach is 40ft and I do not need the repeater. If I was to do it again, I would go with the monochrome monitor. The color display with the blue colors are sometimes hard to see in bright light but the audio alarm will let you know of trouble.

RE: Without getting political....

They lost me when they had the first strike for more money. College ball is more exciting anyway.

RE: smoked food

Don't serve smoked sides, you need a difference of flavors. If everything is smoked, all will taste alike. Corn on the cob, baked beans, coleslaw, all good sides.

RE: Buy Register A Car While Traveling?

If you are a resident of Texas, the vehicle has to be registered in the county in which you "live". In other words, if your address is Livingston, you must register the vehicle in the county where Livingston is.

RE: Load test a bank of 6 AGM house batteries.

There are testers out there that use a small amount of AC current to test batteries but I really see no difference in using a carbon pile to test either one. A load is a load.

RE: Load test a bank of 6 AGM house batteries.

"AGM batteries CANNOT be load tested with a standard Load Tester. You must have a Load Tester that is designed for AGM batteries." What is the difference between a "standard" load tester and a "AGM" load tester. This is something ew to me. Seems a load is a load that doesn't know the difference between a AGM and wet cell

RE: "Normal" refrigerator temps

Sticking a probe in a refer and measuring temps will give false info. Temp probes should be measuring the temperature of something such as a glass of water or a piece of meat.Knowing the temp of what you are trying to keep cold is the important thing.

RE: driving from arizona to wa state

Left Yuma last Thursday to Fresno. From Fresno to Eugene and then on to Birch Bay,WA. No problems with fuel. I used Elks Lodges and the casino in Corning,CA. Had work done in Eugene so stayed at the repair facility. Drove the Tacoma/Seattle route at 60+MPH today. Fastest I have ever gone thru Seattle.
