RE: COE

I have stayed at the "WP Franklin Locks" in south Florida. It is very nice and is like being on an island and hard to get reservations in the winter. They also have hookup camping slots for traveling boats as well. We usually just stay at USFS cgs but I wanted to get back into some COE camping just for fun. We have 3 COE cgs just 50 miles from home that we have stayed at often 14 years ago.

RE: COE

Why would that be important? I thought it would be fun to go camp one night at each COE cgs somewhere in Arkansas, Kansas or Kentucky? I think Kentucky has a lot of COE? We are retired and been traveling for 14 years. We usually stay gone 2-3 weeks at a time, mostly at USFS cgs. We are free from work and schedules.

Coachmen 2021 clipper model number "CFQ17" tire size?

I notice the new Coachmen 2021 clipper model number "CFQ17" has a lot larger GVWR than the older Clipper FQ17? Does anyone know what size tires are on the new 2021 Clipper CFQ17?

RE: Coachmen Clipper

OK, I installed the ST205 75 15 tires on my Clipper. I have towed it over 100 miles with no issues, That included 20 miles of gravel road with lots of pot holes. I checked the inter fender walls and no contact was made. I did have to raise my hitch up one notch on my truck as my clipper is now 1.2 inches taller. The tires have a load of 2,150 pounds each which is well above the 1,710 pounds on the little 13 inch tires!

RE: Coachmen Clipper

The reason I want to go to 15" inch tires is because I already have 15" inch wheels. I also drive in and out on 10 miles of gravel road every time I go anywhere. The 15's will do a lot better on the rough gravel road.

RE: Coachmen Clipper

Yes, I did the math and the ST205 75 15 tires are 2.5 inches taller than the 13 inch tires. The height will only increase half of that, 1.25 inches into the wheel well. I just wanted to know what others have to say that have already made the change to 15 inch wheels and tires on the clipper? I think it will work good if you can dodge all the pot holes.

Coachmen Clipper

I am thinking about upgrading to 15 inch tires on my 2017 Clipper FQ17. Who has changed their 13 inch clipper tires to 15 inch tires without flipping the springs? Any issues?
