RE: tow a rwd car on a tow dolly

Being a retired powertrain systems engineer for Toyota Motor Manufacturing USA, I can assure you Toyota puts a blanket statement in ALL their owner's manuals that states their vehicles cannot be flat towed behind a motorhome, and have done so for the last several years. If it is a manual transmission, 2WD, FWD or RWD it can be towed 4down. I do not recommend towing it on a dolly with the rear wheels on the ground since the vehicle will be at enough of an angle as to pool the transmission lubricant toward the rear of the transmission leading to a possible lack of lubricant being splash circulated to the front bearings on the main shaft and auxiliary shaft. It can be towed 4down if you can find a base plate from a quality manufacturer to fit the car.

RE: Motor Home GPS Phone AP

Having made one mistake after another, why not try something that actually works: CoPilot The problem with CoPilot is my CoPilot. She is the one who wants Garmin. Need I say more! :B Then you need to put her in the driver's seat and you be the navigator!!!

RE: Motor Home GPS Phone AP

After ready the replies to this thread, I think we are leaning to CoPilot RV. One question I have for the group is the cost. $29.99 a year seems fine with us, but does that allow the ap to be running on both of our android phones at the same time. Yes, I currently run the CoPilot app on a android tablet and my android phone.

RE: Motor Home GPS Phone AP

The best of the bunch is CoPilot RV app. Lets you specify the size and weight of your rig and if you carry propane (for restricted tunnels) and such.

RE: downloading to a GPS

Turn your file into a .gpx file. Garmin accepts gpx file formatsThe OP has a Rand McNally GPS not a Garmin.

RE: AC Quits Blowing Cold after a few minutes

My guess would be the expansion valve needs to be replaced. Probably should replace the receiver/drier also. This is the correct answer. Also make SURE you are not overcharging the unit, refill with the correct amount of R134 as per the manufacturer's instructions.

RE: Tire size

A 295/75R22.5 and a 275/80R22.5 are virtually the same size tire. Approximately a 1/4" difference in width and ride height. The 295/75 is a direct replacement for the 275/80. Go with the Continentals, they are just as good as the Michelins.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

I agree, for that kind of money i would be looking for a used Newell, Marathon, or Liberty coach. Ten times better construction quality and driveability.

Have you tried a local muffler shop like MIDAS?

RE: Storage RV lot with GFIC breakers

Tell the owner to get off his dead *** and call an electrician to fix the problem. The problem is with the storage facility not having a sufficient electrical supply to carry the load.
