RE: TCs and Covid Vaccinations

We drove by a vaccination site the other day and the led sign said No Campers! The thought had already crossed my mind too but not sure if it was just that site or general rule. Doesn't make any sense to me but just stating what I saw. That was in Citrus county Florida.

RE: When a sale is not a sale

The whole deal sounds way to complicated and too much in his favor. If he wants it bad enough or on the up and up he will figure it out. In the meantime, like others have said tell him to pound sand. I'd go and list it and if it sells it sells. As you said you haven't listed it yet and in no big hurry. Time is on your side. Besides after all, the RV market is hot due to the virus and nobody wanting to stay in hotels. Good Luck!

RE: Are TT or 5vr Toy hauler handling better with trike loaded?

We bounced those ideas around for awhile. Hubby was worried about tongue weight when the trike was not with us. There are a lot of times when we just don't have time for the trike while camping. We have a harley trike. Ultimately we decided on a truck camper and towing a v-nose trailer when we want the trike with us. Not as much room but we sure have an easier time finding campsites too. Last year we also bought a tt that stays on our seasonal site in NC. Lots of decisions for you...Good Luck!

RE: I Hope This Doesn't Get Taken Down Right Away

3rd grade waiting for the school bus to pick us up to take us home. Hubby on other hand was in the Navy and just had his liberty cancelled.

RE: Dodge 1999 3500 Lamarie dually

Our 2006 Dodge dually Laramine still has the holes when we had our fifth wheel before getting our TC. We haven't had any problems carrying our TC.

RE: Roku new channels

Roku has some very good deals going on now. I just bought a Roku Ultra for $99 and they have it with free shipping for $69. Just my luck a day late and a dollar short. LOL!

RE: Honest RV Dealers - Are there any?

We have purchased from Tri-Am and was satisfied. We sometimes buy parts from them, have had parts installed and never had any problems at all. Ryan Perkins is one of the owners and if you have any questions you need to talk to him. I agree I wouldn't touch Camping World with a 10' pole. Good Luck!

RE: OTA Recording messed it up first time...had a duh moment... We have used a channelmaster for about 5 years now. We put a splitter so we could record and watch on 2 different channels.

RE: Medicare Advantage Plans

I just signed up for Plan G medigap policy back in May. My thing was I didn't want to be tied to a network and wanted to make sure if I needed medical attention as long as my doctor or facility takes medicare they have to see me. I just pay for an annual part B deductible of 198 but add my monthly premium. I got prices for all major companies and it's surprising how much the difference can be but by federal law the plan has to offer the same benefits but the insurance company can certainly charge different rates. Be sure to do your research because it can be beneficial or not so much. I had to do all the research when my husband turned 65 and it paid off for us.

RE: Heading to Cades Cove. ?Route 28 Franklin to Lauada?

Is the 'tail of the dragon' how you describe what is likely the worst traffic jam found in any NP? It's a famous twisty road in North Carolina. 317 turns in 11 miles. We have ridden it many times, yep it's twisty. Really busy with motorcycles on weekends.

RE: WiFi

We just had fiber optics installed at our seasonal site in NC. The slow internet speed was a killer and we stream alot. So frustrating as someone said too many pigs at the trough. LOL! Now we only have one hog...and it pays the bill. We also can put it on vacay mode for up to 6 months. I don't know if that is an option but to us it's worth it.

RE: VA rt 822 to Goose Point Park on Phillpott lake

LOL...I like the description mountain goat road. When we visit my hometown, Bassett, Va, that is where we stay. It does have a beautiful view. The last time we were there they lock the gate at 10PM and there is no getting in after that. However, the road is kinda of scary after dark due to the wildlife. BTW...that is the only campground I have ever had anything stolen, guess they liked my aluminum table more than we did.

RE: Fridge Assistance and Troubleshooting

Try a mobile rv tech. Might be worth the extra money for them to come to you.

RE: Teaching Your Spouse How to Pull a Trailer

If she wants to learn, she will, if she doesn't, no one can teach her. You are exactly right! For me as the DW, I want to be comfortable with whatever we are driving or towing. Lately I have made sure that I get my seat time when on the road. Our major problem is that I am also the navigator using gps and my phone for the map programs, little difficult if there is a problem, like a wrong turn. LOL!

RE: What do you shut off when leaving for a trip

For years we did nothing ....until..... A lightning strike that tripped our garage breaker for 11 days. In our garage we had a freezer and a refrigerator. It also took out all our house phones, several tvs, amplifier on tower antenna and rotor. Now we have neighbor that checks on house and picks up our mail. Oh man, the garage smelled like there was a dead body, it was AWFUL. I have weak stomach so DH had to dig hole in back of property after we froze all the rotten stuff and bury it. Lesson learned....get to know a trustworthy neighbor. We do turn off hot water heater and AC.

RE: Dicor lap Sealant

Do not use self-leveling sealants on anything but horizontal surfaces. All all dicor the same as in if we buy some at walmart or an rv store?

RE: Dicor lap Sealant

Can you use Eternabond instead of or with the Dicor? We figured with all the sealant up there and it appears to be self leveling that is what we would put back. It looks like there is an aluminum lip that is screwed down on the edge of the roof and then the old sealant.

Dicor lap Sealant

This is not for either campers but our enclosed trailer. We washed it up today and the sealant around the top is coming off pretty bad. Our enclosed trailer has an aluminum one piece roof. I figure if we use our pressure washer then it will take most of the old sealant off. It's a 14' trailer so I am thinking maybe 2 tubes. What do yall think? Any other steps we might need to take. thanks in advance...
