RE: Travel Trailer/ Caravan that powers itself up a hill

Makes sense but how much money? $25,000? No, I don't mean $25k for the whole RV, I mean $25k for the system? "If you want to have a real good time you have to put a few Franklins on the line!!!" Should we not even look at forward thinking technology because there is cost involved?

RE: Milepost

How about a 1989 version. A friend gave me one the other day that she might be willing to part with.

RE: Leveling chocks

I use three pieces of 2x8 of successively shorter lengths. I bevel the ends and cut a 1" dado across the top of the bottom two. Also I put a 1" spline on the bottom of the top two so they nest when stacked and don't slide . My level requires 1 1/2" thickness of lift per mark on the level, so I get the trailer where I want it, look at the level, roll forward, stack the boards, back on, set the chocks, have a beer. I'm not keen on supporting vandals either.

RE: Roll Call Alaska 2019

From Tok you do Alaska clockwise or anti clockwise. It is basically that simple. Not many roads to choose from. Or, due west"ish" from Paxson To Denali.

RE: Need some help please

The stair mats ice up as well. Ask me how I know. I slipped in the top one and fell (inside the doorway). I really bent my other knee while it was crunched in the doorway. It was the farthest it bent in a loonng time, and hurt a lot. Didn't fall on my head though.

RE: Roll Call Alaska 2019

This, from a structural engineer friend who lives in Anchorage. "The exaggeration/drama factor is pretty high. You can be sure that the Alaska Dept. of Tourism did not endorse or approve of that news advisory. Believe me, everyone who lives in the Valley or Girdwood and works in Anchorage is not going to stay home until next summer."
