Look a the Hydraulic Through Frame Slideout Service Manual
When ours did this it was a internal leak in the bedroom slide cylinder.

RE: Major Ecoboost repair, long delays

I just talked with the dealer parts department and he said that Ford is not even trying provide parts for vehicles not under warrantee. However, he thinks that he has one from a big rebuilder (not Jasper) lined up and is trying to finalize the details.
The dealer is very put out with Ford in that they were billed for my engine in August and paid the bill. Over two months have gone by since they paid the bill and they just now found out that no motor is coming, no refund has been offered and Ford was happy letting all of that slide.
He also told me that he is having trouble getting parts for Chrysler products as well. He carries Chrysler products too.
Took us about 6 months to get a long block from GM this spring. Wife likes the car, and replacing the engine was way cheaper that a new car.

RE: Vogel state park

If you use US-19/129 up from the south you will encounter significant grades crossing Blood Mountain just south of the park. Better would be I-575/GA-515 north out of Marietta GA, and US-19 south from Blairsville.

RE: Chattanooga TN to Talona Ridge RV Resort Ellijay, Ga.

That's a 1 lane 13'7" railroad underpass. Not a big deal, just be sure of your height.

RE: Discoverer AT3 XLT

Batteries as noted, are made by 3-5 manufactures here in NA. Choose poison by where you can get warrenty easy enough etc.
Marty
That great deal you got 2 years ago isn't, when your 700 miles away from home with a dead off brand battery.

RE: Theoretical heights.

Unnecessary, but this is theoretical, I don't have a unit, but am planning a build and want to know if my theoretical numbers make sense.
If you thinking of building a trailer, you need to look at this thread. BoonHauler BoonHauler was a member here but hasn't posted in years. From what I remember reading the build thread he really did it right. Took a good while but really looked good when he was done.

RE: I-75 at Chattanooga

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I could use some help from the Chatt locals please.
We will be going to Cloudland SP in early June, coming from Boone, NC area.
We're pulling a 36ft 5th wheel with a dually.
Google maps says to take IHs 75 to 24 to 59 and exit to hwy 136. It looks like that takes you over a pretty good pass.
Is this advisable with camper?
Anyone have a better route?
Thanks so much!!
Mark
That is the best way, traffic on I-24 will suck. But you will see much worse grades coming out of Boone and up GA-136 to the park, than on the interstate
For the OP. Construction is done. I-75 straight thru usually isn't to bad. Most backups on I-75 are from I-24 west. Stay out of the right lane as you approach the area, unless you are going west on I-24. Left 3 lanes are I-75, I-24 exits to the right. This is especially true north bound.

RE: GM buying back 6.6L Duramax

Howdy!
Hell I have a 2018 Chevrolet 3500 LTZ Duramax 6.6 and from day one the engine bock heater was recalled. Been replaced once. Shortly after that it was recalled again. Every time I ask the dealership they state there’s no replacement available. I had a long conversation with GM costumer service and they only stated the same thing “NO FIX AT THIS TIME”. My only response was “THATS NO WHAT I PAID FOR”. Still waiting! If they want to buy this thing back they can have it!
“Happy Trails”
Chiefneon
Chief I'm in the same boat, but I did get a letter from GM saying that parts are now available. Going in next week. I have no desire to be anywhere that I need that block heater, but I want what I paid for.

RE: Flying J / RV Lanes

You are aware that Flying j fuel prices are higher than other stations!
I just completed a trip through 3 states. The Pilot/Flying Js I stopped at or passed were the same and a few were cheaper as any other in the same area.
For gas they are competitive, diesel not so much.

RE: Do you always have to pay inside at Truck stops?

First to the OP's question, sometimes your card will read.
As to being trapped, well the last Loves I got DEF in I had to back out of. Because the driver ahead was still MIA after I went in paid for and pumped my DEF.

RE: trailer wheel weight rating/compared to tire psi rating?

Dexter 6 lug on 5.5 are rated for 2860. Their 16" wheels were what I used when we upgraded from the stock 15" on the last trailer.

RE: Towing performance - F150 vs F250

By the time you add the heavy tow and payload to a 150, it is as much as a F250. The 250 with the bigger brakes, axles, stiffer frame, and pretty much heavier duty everything will be a much better option. The new 7.3l gas engine is a really good choice for that weight.
This is so true. It's not that you can't get a F-150 that will do the job, you can. But any F-250 will, and likely do it better.

RE: Hope this is OK for this forum - DEF question

I quit using the jugs and fill with DEF from a gas style pump at the fuel station.
It's cheaper, but more importanly there is no dripping or spilling.
Once from the jug, it's been bulk from the pump ever since that first time!
