RE: 2023 camping season

We will keep on camping as much as usual. This winter in Arizona, it doesn't look like anyone stayed home because of fuel prices either.

RE: Roadside Assistance

After two fails many years ago with GS, I switched to Coach-Net. Only used them once to tow the Allegro and the service was exceptional. I bet Coach-Net pays the towing company more than GS.

RE: Winter in Arizona...

This seems to be a Very popular year to visit Quartzite with no regard for high gas prices. It's the most RV's we have seen on BLM land and traffic in town is more than we have seen in several years of coming here for the big rv show. Hope you get the rv fixed soon.

RE: RV Flex Armor

Our neighbor has a 40' Alpha that he was constantly having water leak problems with. He finally bit the bullet and had the Flex Armor applied.
He says that it's the best thing he ever did and has had absolutely no leaks anywhere. He had it done about 3 years ago for $6000.
We can see the roof of his rig from our house and I can honestly say it looks as good as it did 3 years ago.

RE: ARE THERE ANY SNOWBIRDS ANYMORE?

The parks in southern Arizona are full of snowbirds. The park we are in doesn't have even one rig with an AZ plate.

RE: Then what?

By the way, who is still using a 110 VAC drill?Really. All my yard tools are battery.. leaf blower, lawn mower (110v battery!), hedge trimmer. I would never buy another gas powered tool.
I'm thinking he meant a corded drill that plugs into a wall socket.

RE: Roof tear along edge ...

I'll add my vote for using Eternabond as you described. I've been using it for over 20 years on 5 different motorhomes around roof vents, a/c flashing, roof seams and front and rear caps. Never a leak on any of them.

RE: Possible delamination

jjj, I'll let my friend know about your experience also in case he has an issue that isn't normal for that design.

RE: Possible delamination

Thank you for the replies. I've never had a bubble effect or waves on my numerous rv's over the years, but I will let my friend know that this is fairly normal on some brands of rv's.

Possible delamination

A friend purchased a 24' travel trailer 11 months ago. Shortly after the purchase he noticed some air pockets(soft spots) on the rear cap. He took it to a rv repair facility and they pulled off the rear cap, didn't see any damage and reglued the cap back on to the tune of $2000.
Now he is seeing some soft spots at the bottom of the rear cap again and took it back to the original repair facility. The repair shop now says that the air pockets are normal as it is a "floating" wall/cap.
I've never experienced any soft spots or floating wall on any of my rv's. My question is...is this a true statement from the rv shop?
