RE: Europa RV

I'm not familiar with the Europa line. However, ask your questions. Most RV's use the same components. Do you need information on the refrigerator, wiring, air conditioner, plumbing, etc.? Someone can probably help you. Does the Europa have a GMC engine/transmission? The more info you give us about the RV, the more we can help you.

RE: Thousand Trails memberships

I have never been a member. Do a Google search on Thousand Trails scam, ripoff, etc. before you sign a contract. I avoid things with an 'automatic renewal' clause and you must contact them at least 30 days prior to expiration, in writing, to cancel. I'm sure some have had good luck with Thousand Trails. It sounds like a Time Share to me. JMO

Amazon has the same jack you're considering except it has a 3 ton bottle jack.

RE: Who can be the last poster?

It's not a lie. It's called weather forecasting.

RE: New TT bargaining...

comes with Aluminum Rims and Nitrogen Filled Radial Tires Don't pay for nitrogen in the tires if you take it to the dealer for servicing. If it's free, okay. Otherwise just use air.

RE: MHS Motor Home Specialist

I'm interested in a coach on their website and called 5 time requesting information. No return calls. No e/mail information, nothing. I think you answered your own question.

RE: Planning solar system for 1995 Fleetwood Southwind

You may want to consider changing to 6 volt batteries. They generally hold up better than 12 volt. Our 96 Southwind has two 6 volt house batteries and they work well but, I do not have a solar system. The 12 Volt Side of Life is helpful to understand the 12 volt system. What information are you seeking about adding a solar system? Someone will have the answer.

RE: Who can be the last poster?

70 this morning. Muggy and a light rain falling. It's a gloomy day in last place.

RE: Taping Window on Cab Over

I think cardboard would get weaker as it gets wet. I would use 1/2 inch foam, maybe a little thicker.

RE: Is this a problem?

Looks like they used the cheapest grade of OSB and it may have had water damage before installation. It appears, to me, they painted or coated cheap OSB. I would definitely be checking that roof on a regular basis. Water will probably lay in the pockets.

RE: Class A Tire Recommendation

If you're talking about Hankook, they're good tires. If you're talking about Hancock, I'm not familiar with them. Several years ago I replaced the Michelin tires on our 96 Southwind with Hankook. I think it is a better tire.

RE: Why so few Murphy beds ?

People don't like them. Yes, people vote with their pocket book, but WHY ? Probably because opening/closing a Murphy bed is as much fun as setting up and taking down a dinette or jackknife couch. They're okay for occasional use but, if you need it every day it gets real old, real quick.

I'm guessing the OP is talking about the Class A motorhome in their profile.

RE: Looking at this 99 Safari Trek deisel

CLICKY The fact that it's an orphan would not bother me. But, like Bruce Brown stated, do your research.
