RE: camping in heber springs arakansas

Greers Ferry lake, Red river trout fishing, Macks Fish House restaurant, Red Apple Inn on Eden Isle, Verona Italian restaurant. If your younger than me you might go hike up Sugar Loaf mountain, or rent a pontoon boat at the Heber marina.

RE: rockies or smokey's

I never use cruise towing in the mountains, and wonder why some do. I'm in no hurry, and its also hard on the power train. Not so in the newer diesels with the exhaust brakes. The ECM/TCM will hold the set speed & downshift as necessary & the CM's will not let the motor self destruct. As posted tap the brakes on occasion to slow & hit resume. Sorry I should have said going uphill, and I always use tow haul with full exhaust brake.

Gen-Y 5th wheel goose neck pin box

Just wondering if anyone has seen, or is using this new pin box. It is USA made, and looks very well built, with torkflex cushion, and no air bag to mess with. It is also pending approval from LCI, but I wouldn't hold my breath, since they are partners with Reese. Gen-Y

RE: Ram 2500 Short Bed question

The first time I used my B&W slider, I damaged the the top plastic cap on my tailgate, so I now have a 5th wheel vented tailgate.

RE: Toyota fake 3/4 ton spotted, overheated

Outdated proven reliable power plant and less technology... I may want a tundra I agree, and the reliability of 70's, and up Toyota's is what woke up American auto makers. https://i.imgur.com/8db14xwl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wIEY1vSl.jpg

RE: Forest River RV Cedar Creek Silverback 29RW - feeback

You will not regret getting a F350, for towing a rv with around 3k pin weight.

RE: Anyone using a Andersen Ultimate on a 2020 GM truck?

Towing 9+ inches behind the axle is not a good idea, and will remove weight from the front. I'm pretty sure your Arctic Fox has sculpted corners on the front cap, and would not need that far of an offset for safe towing.

RE: How much squat can I expect?

I used 2" blocks from that same company a few years ago, and had no problems. Their blocks are billet aluminum, and U bolts are forged 9/16 or 5/8".

I wonder how much lower a 2wd model would be.

RE: Yellowstone in October

Gee, Gary, if you leave tomorrow, you'll be there a lot sooner than October, right? I guess it depends on your tow vehicle. ;) Yes a horse and wagon lol. We went 3 years ago, and can't wait to go back for a month, or two.

RE: Yellowstone in October

For what it's worth, we really enjoyed Yellowstone in October. We stayed at the Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone. Here is a link to our blog post--hope it is helpful: YNP and more in October Thanks for the post, my wife wants to go back there this fall, and would leave tomorrow if I wanted to.

It seems like you always have a camper who leaves food out in a wilderness campground.
