RE: Dou Therm 57915.622 won't work.

Don't know what thermostat you are using On the older analog Duo thermostat the yellow wire in the RV wiring harness runs the heater

RE: Winter Battery Storage

Left my motorhome and toad in anchorage for four winters, returned each year to go again. each time all I did is fully charge all batteries and remove ground cable. All batteries still worked fine the next season

RE: Store 5er in Alaska

Stored my motorhome and toad for 4 winters in Anchorage, uncovered, flew back and forth each year.
Nothing special for the pink stuff. Left the batteries in place, six 6v and two starting batteries. Lifted the ground cable on each starting battery and one ground from six volt set.
One problem with snow. First winter the snow drifted under the steps. Step motor got soaked and had to replace. I put a little lumber around to keep it from happening again.
Think the lowest temp was about -22

RE: jackknife sofa removal

Removed it from my Class A
Remove all the bolts holding down the frame, using a lever raise the frame starting at one end and support the frame using 2x4 blocks, one in back and one in front. Repeat for middle and other end.
Make longer 2x4 blocks the length of each frame, front to back. Lever the frame up so that it is supported on two high 2x4.
The frame is now up and above the bolts coming out of the floor so the sofa can slide out without lifting.
Slide out so it can be lifted and lift so it stands on one end. Then out the door on end.

RE: County Park Experiences

Some Texas cities have RV parks. One about 15 miles from me in Stephenville. I have used it to check out motorhome systems before taking off for more distant locations.

RE: Would this be a power converter issue??

You should get a multimeter to check and understand your 12 volt systems.

RE: GENERAC GENERATOR ISSUE

The pump runs when the gen is running. Prim just gets gas to the carb for it to start.

RE: GENERAC GENERATOR ISSUE

The gas line from the main tank to the generator has probably deteriorated and sucking air into the fuel line for the generator.
If you remove the fuel line going to the pump and try to siphon gas from the main tank you will probably see air bubbles and the line will not maintain a siphon.
You can also supply gas to the pump from another tank to see if the gen continues to run after it starts.
Do not remove the carb, that is not the problem.

RE: Nearly impossible to get Class C Chassis serviced?

Most gas motorhomes and class c have the same gas tank and hose arrangement, hoses usually feed the generator. Had my tank dropped and the fuel pump replaced about two years ago on my F53 Ford chassis motorhome. It was done by a local diesel truck shop. They did not put it on a lift. They used roll around floor jacks to get up to drop the tank.
First place I called.

RE: Planning a trip to Alaska sometime 2023

Understand there is a difference between traveling to Canada and traveling through Canada to an international destination. There are also rules for public health

RE: Black tank not draining!

After you get it draining nothing is needed except more water when it used and more water when you drain it.

RE: Bluetooth question

There are many Bluetooth profiles that do different things.
The device operates using a particular profile and the phone has to support this profile.
Your hearing aid probably needs an A2DP profile on the phone to work.

RE: What % Of Alcohol Does Your State Have?

It looks like USA gasoline is going to jump to fifteen percent minimum.
Forever
All gas is not going to 15% as a minimum. A few ethanol producing states are going to blend and sell 15% gas outside of the normal June to September cutoff.
Nothing is going to change with 10% gas availability.

RE: Battery tender & storage

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. I have always done this even though my storage facility has power.
No surprises, no need to add water, very small voltage drop.
