RE: Good potable water hose?

This is what I just bought to replace our Camco hose, which has served us well but was time to a new one, https://www.amazon.com/Flexzilla-HFZG525YWS-Garden-Swivelgrip-Drinking/dp/B06XWGC62L?th=1.
Haven't used it yet with the RV, but also bought one for home use. And the grip is terrific for tightening, especially with arthritic hands.

VPN's again

What is the preferred VPN for on the move, campgrounds, McDonald's, etc open wifi. If it matters, using primarily android & mac.
I know nothing about this and am just beginning to find out what I should have. AND how much.

RE: AGM batteries & solar battery tender

My coach has a switch to disconnect the coach battery. Would that be sufficient enough rather than manually unbolting the batteries?

AGM batteries & solar battery tender

Thinking about switching over to AGM batteries & know nothing about what I should know & do. I tried to do online research but have a hard time distinguishing between a sales pitch & an honest review/opinion as I know nothing about the subject.
I did find that one important point is to keep the batteries charged while in storage. As I generally put it in storage from Nov to April. Cannot keep on our property due to our beloved HOA, so it is offsite with no electric available. Which brings me to a solar battery tender. These are effective??? Spending this kind of money on batteries, don't want them going south the first year. Since our coach is offsite can I use a solar tender discretely with no holes drilled, etc. I'd like to place the solar panel in the cab windshield & run the cables to the batteries. Does this even sound feasible?
And I guess solar battery tenders, like the batteries themselves, vary in price from one end of the spectrum to the other. And the higher the price isn't always the better.
Oh, where to start? Then there is always the consideration of total cost and what I can afford. But naturally I want the best for the least cost.
Any thoughts?

Any one familiar with this park? I know only 4 sites. Is it worth a couple of days and are walk ins available?
Thanks for any and all info.

RE: hot spots

We aren't full timers or anything like that. We travel, maybe 5 times a year for anywhere from a week to 4 at a time.
We found that ATT hotspot data plan works bests for us. I think it was $35 a month for 25gb of data which is great for us. We do not stream. Renew as we need it and only charged for the month we use it.
Tried Verizon but it would not hold a signal on the road. AND they charged $35 to connect it each time you start the plan.
We are are on cheapo phone plans with next to no data service.

Wabash & Erie Canal Park

This is a county park, I believe, in western Indiana. Has only 7 sites, but seems quite quant and worth investigation. At lest for a night.
Has any one been there or have any other information on it? RV life gave it good reviews.

RE: MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME STATE PARK

Bit the bullet and reserved a site. 28 feet to the power pole, according to the reservation site, but 28 ft to where? Gonna find out. Chose the site because of Google Maps Street view. Seems to be the most level site there and with our planned comings & goings we want a quick & easy in & out. May regret this but, oh well won't be the first mistake we've made. Hopefully it becomes a pleasant memory and a new insight into interpreting the RV Reviews!

RE: Favorite way to skip the interstates?

I'm curious about avoiding highways. Our Garmin RV890 is designed for RVs and many times we do get off the beaten path and it warns us showing a RV with a ?. But it still takes us that way. Would we have to endure this warning the entire trip being unsure of what's up ahead?
Guess we'll have to try it on our upcoming trip in territory we're familiar with.

RE: MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME STATE PARK

White Acres sort of scared me also. Been thinking of Taylorville Lake SP, but it's like 40 minutes from Bardstown. And is still a Kentucky state park, so no idea where the power pole are located. Still checking into it.
Open for thoughts & ideas.

MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME STATE PARK

Looking to staying here (MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME STATE PARK) late Sept early Oct and know nothing about this park. Got a 26' class c and looking for a level site as we plan to be coming & going quite a bit and don't want to drag leveling blocks out every day. Water is nice, but 30 amp is a must. The reservation site isn't much help. Our plan is to hit a couple of distilleries in the area, so we'll probably be about most of the days. Another concern is that it seems that KY parks have a tendency to place the power poles aways from the actual pad. Is this true here also?
Read the reviews, searched photos, etc, but what are some of the sites that best fit our wants, if you know of them?
thanks

RE: Campground availability on shorter notice

We are looking to book some time in mid October near mid to eastern TN and am having a devil of a time finding openings. As opposed to other posters we do prefer State, COE and even some municipal parks. Don't like spending out time in what looks like a RV sales lot, or as I say awning to slide.
I guess we're just too picky about the site we take. Don't need FHU, but need 30amp, level site.
Being older, we only travel a couple of hours a day, so we stay at a lot of places and like to spend some time there.

South Dakota park with hookups

Looking to go to the south eastern portion of SD, but want level concrete, asphalt or even gravel sites with hookups. Electric (30 amp a must) water & sewer are a plus. We are prefer state, COE or even municipal parks. Private parks if need be. Leaving from either St. Louis, MO &/or Elkhart, Indiana depending time of year. Plan on spending a week or so before heading home.
thanks

RE: Best cell phone provider?

IDMan, I agree. We are the same. My only comment is that our ATT hotspot allows us to buy time/data when we want it, with no connection fee. Verizon charged us a connection fee plus data/time costs. While on the road Verizon was in and out if at all. ATT pretty consistent. But always looking for a better deal.
