RE: Tires rubbing on camper 2 inch clearance ?

John Thanks. That is great info. I will check. I remember seeing some arch to the axle. I have a long level. Will check. Yes both sides of springs look the same.

RE: Tires rubbing on camper 2 inch clearance ?

Tires have rubbed in the past.. through to the plywood. MFL thanks for the pics... mine are flatter. I think new heavier duty springs are in order. The rubbing could have been due to a blowouts... but heavier springs can't hurt Thanks again

Tires rubbing on camper 2 inch clearance ?

Bought trailer used. Have now noticed wear of tires against bottom of trailer. Springs are above the axles. Was this caused most likely from a flat tire rubbing the bottom or is clearance not enough? Would stronger springs help?? Any ideas? Is best bet TPMS system to lesson chance of blowout or flat ?? Thanks

RE: 2017 Aerolite Dutchman 284bhsl suspension question

Where is the inverter/converter? can't see where it could be near the breaker panel.. unless I have to remove it completely to even see it... usually on trailers there will be a panel to unscrew.. don't see anything like this at all

2017 Aerolite Dutchman 284bhsl suspension question

Bought it used two years ago. Got to looking under it today and the tires have been rubbing the underside through the coating and into the plywood. Three have gone pretty deep. Not sure when this happened etc. Do I need to put on heavier springs? Or some kind of equalizer like the road armor shock absorber equalizer kit? Have not had any heavy loads. Three of the four has rubbed very hard. Might have been with previous owner.. tire wear has been normal. Thoughts?

RE: Trailer sway issies

Towed with a friends F250. No problems. So the truck is the culprit. Tires are worn. Will get to dealership for full check up

RE: Trailer sway milestone 377mb

That is not true. With the holiday etc... haven't had time to weigh the camper and trailer.. it seems something has broken since it sways at such low speeds and worse uphill. And the truck is handling weird unloaded. Forums like this help because it can point to look in places that are not obvious. This thread is only a few days old... started it on a trip out of town. And I have responded to the weight issue as best I can at this time.

RE: Trailer sway milestone 377mb

Have not weighed yet. But load has not changed in 3000 miles of towing. Will weigh and post back

RE: Trailer sway milestone 377mb

Trailer is level. Have tried raising and lowering the pin in the truck. Didn’t help
